Your Questions About Money Making Schemes Online

Helen asks…

Can anyone tell me about a good work from home scheme with no start-up fee? Form filling preferred?

Nagesh answers:

The only type of online business or work from home things that work are people who have set up their own websites to sell a product or service. As for data entry jobs, form filling jobs and so on, I wouldn’t trust any of them.

However, you can earn money online through surveys, writing reviews and more. I do it myself. It is NOT a job and you won’t become rich from doing it. It is a great way to get a bit of extra cash though and the more time you spend on the sites the more you will make. These sites all make money from adverts on their sites and they pay a percentage of this to you. You do have to be careful though as there are many scams – never pay to join a site.

You can make money online if you know how, but any sites advertising you can make hundreds of dollars/pounds/euro a day, asking you to pay to join or claiming you can quit your job, work from home, do practically nothing and still earn are all scams.

Sharon asks…

What are the advantages of using optical media (CD’s / DVD’s) as compared to using hard disk storages?

The title pretty much says it all, but I do have a follow-up question.
What are the advantages of buying cd’s/dvd’s with music or movies, compared to just buying them via online stores like iTunes and then storing them to your hard drive?

Nagesh answers:

I would say the only real advantage is that if you’re not real tech-savvy, CDs and DVDs work in almost every device that can play them. DVDs and CDs also last longer than storing them on a hard disk since most hard disks only last so long and then they fail to spin up or run into other problems. So you invest more money into it.

With storing them on hard disk – for example – if you use a program to make rips – and then you plug in your external device into something which can read the files – you have to know what types of files your device can and can’t read. You have to know the settings in order to achieve the best quality. It becomes a challenge for people who don’t know about that stuff.

I have purchased movies from iTunes which are stored on an external hard drive, and it’s 1TB compared to my 200GB computer hard drive. So all I do is set my iTunes to point to my external hard drive to read from, and I have 1TB of storage and can stream to my Apple TV from anywhere in my home as long as my computer and iTunes are running.

Another problem with digital distribution methods of movies is that you run into DRM which is like a sort of copy protection scheme they encode into digital movies so that you can’t redistribute the content. ITunes is notorious for it. There are workarounds, but it’s just a whole lot easier to get the hard copy and then make a digital version of it with a ripping program.

I also use this method to make rips of all the movies I own into a generic MP4/AAC format, which plays on my PS3, my family’s Blu Ray player and other similar devices. It’s also nice because all my friends have PS3s so when I go over to their place, all I have to do is take my external hard drive instead of hauling my entire DVD/Blu Ray collection and my original discs. AVI is probably a better/more universally recognized container, but especially when you have large files with a lot of information like a Blu Ray rip, the MP4 container can store it all in a smaller package as opposed to AVI. I’d still say AVI is better though because it works on more devices than MP4 at this point.

William asks…

Whats the best way to make extra money on the side?

Jobs not paying enough, and dont want to start a new one. What do i do?

Nagesh answers:

There are actually many ways to work from home and to make extra spending money or indeed a full time income. If you are just starting your search, get ready to dive in! There are opportunities to work locally off-line and globally online!

Now talking of ebay Many people may not be as computer literate as you or maybe they just don’t have time to list their own auctions. You can offer up your services as an “auction specialist”. For a small fee plus a percentage of each sale, you can take pictures of items other people want to sell on eBay, post the auctions and take care of shipping the item to the buyer.

If you come from an administrative background, you can find work online as a virtual assistant. The job duties can be varied, including answering emails, making phone calls, maintaining websites, and more. If you are very adept at designing websites, there is certainly a huge market for that as well as graphic design. A copywriter (also known as ghostwriter) can make money by writing articles, sales letters, advertising copy and more for Internet Marketers. Freelance writing for newspapers and magazines is also an option for those who enjoy writing.

If you are someone who prefers to work off-line, there are still lots of possibilities. For starters, you can start a home-based daycare. If you love to organize and clean, you can set up a home business as professional organizer and get paid to clean out other people’s closets, attics, garages, etc. Another option for those who love to organize, would be to organize events. These can be events for people, such as parties and weddings; or you can organize events for businesses such as meetings, luncheons, and even business expos.

Many people have turned to direct-sales, also known as “party-plan”, to work from home. It is no longer a choice between kitchenware or make-up companies – today you can choose to sell candles, clothes, craft supplies, toys, books, jewelry and more. Some of the companies allow you to sell these items online as well as in the traditional “party” setting.

There are also opportunities with things such as Get Paid To Take Surveys and other similar schemes which can help you to earn extra spending money. Always be sure that you have investigated the opportunities of have taken advice from someone who knows what they are talking about!

The possibilities to earn extra money or even a full time income at home are endless. Keep researching different options, ask lots of questions, and you will find a way to make money from home!

Hope that helps.

Take care

Paul

Mark asks…

What is the average IQ for a 14 year old?

Well I’m practically 14, I will be in 10 days 😛 haha
anyway, I took this (online) IQ test and it said I have an IQ of 145. Does that mean the test is really faulty or I’m really smart? (more likely the former methinks!)

thanks!

Nagesh answers:

I see that a lot of people commented on your test, but no one answered your question.

The AVERAGE IQ for anyone of ANY age is a 100. A 145 is in the genius range. If you truly have a 145 IQ, it would have been noticeable at a very young age in the form of reading well before school years, calculating and multiplying by age 5 or 6, being more empathetic, and exhibiting frustration with other people and situations. You would also likely be the smartest in your class, and maybe even in your school. Approximately 1 in every 410 people have an IQ of 145.

Was the test faulty? There are absolutely NO REAL Official Standardized IQ test on the Internet, and the real ones cost money to take and must be monitored by a professional test proctor, Psychiatrist or Psychologist. The Internet tests are money making schemes that tend to exaggerate most people’s IQ’s in the hope of flattering them into purchasing a test “report”, then they sell your information and email address to Marketing Companies. Don’t be surprised if you suddenly begin receiving much more SPAM. I have a real IQ of 126, yet have scored a 134 and a 142 on two different online tests. And, I’ve also heard stories of people with an IQ of just over 130, scoring over 170 on an online test. You likely have an above average or high IQ in the range of 125 or over.
