Your Questions About Money Making Schemes Online

Jenny asks…

What are some work opportunities for someone who is bed ridden?

I have an older friend who has broken both hips. Due to this and some other circumstances, he’s going to be bed ridden for quite a while. He needs and wants to work somehow and has decent computer skills. When I search for work that you can do from home on your computer, mostly what I get back are things that sound like weird scams, get rich schemes, or illegitimate companies. Does anyone know where or how I would help this guy search for legitimate work for his situation? It doesn’t even have to be great money — just something. He does have an internet connection.

Thanks.

I can relate to your friend’s situation. Due to some health issues of my own, I have been working from home now for several years doing freelance work.

If your friend has an internet connection, computer skills, and motivation to work, he has everything it takes to successfully work from home. You can find a list of freelance jobs here: http://onlinesummerjobs.com/category/freelance-jobs/ Depending on his computer skills, he may want to check out online programming or webmaster freelance jobs. Maybe even technical support.

Of course also there’s getting paid to do surveys. For the most part, these are pretty clear cut, but you can’t get rich fast. Another option your friend may like is trying his hand at selling stuff on e-Bay. This is an increasingly popular money-making opportunity. You can read more about that here: http://teenmoneymakingideas.com/category/way-to-make-money-online/making-money-with-ebay/ It really depends on your friend’s interest and how much time he wants to spend a day working online.

Other freelance jobs sites I’d recommend: http://www.guru.com and http://www.project4hire.com You may also want to check on http://www.monster.com

Best wishes to your friend!

Absoulutely NOTHING but another survey site where you wind up making .25 cents an hour after a years time

work from home jobs is when you do work for another like maybe me would pay you to perform my daily task for set salary !

Someone out there will want that service for sure!

Then the other thing you want is a home business

either your own or someone else’s but make sure it’s a proven money maker backed by support team and that your sponsor replies to you wihin a day and is your mentor all the way through until you are in solid making money at least $2000 per month within 6 months !

Other wise you just found another one of the 88% bogus home biz opps or jobs

the general list of scams are these

DATA ENTRY

FILL OUT FORMS for GOOGLE or GOOGLE cash machine
CASH GIFTING worse than a scam it’s ILLEGAL
SURVEY sites just aint worth it too much time for small money
REBATE PROCESSING
ANY THING set up in a pyramid scheme
JUST about anything that YOU have to pay for to make money for is a scam

search Yahoo or Google for this “BUZZBOT SCAM Ripoff ” which was worse than a scam it was internet fraud and punishable by the FTC for $16,000 fines per inastance

Always search name of company or person with words SCAM and Ripoff after them

if any reports were made about it’s legitamacy or that others were robbed scammed conned it will be shown !

Any thing that promises instant riches is a scam

any online biz that these gurus and Big dogs have they never tell you it took them 2 years or more and $1000’s of $$ to start making that 6 figure income !Thats the LIES they feed and YOU always will find that disclaimer link or notice on thier websites !

And thats it all wrapped up in nut shell

Maria asks…

What is the best site to find REAL online jobs?

I am looking for a real online job, i am disabled in a weird way but not enough to qualify for disability. I am willing to work but due to trauma i have a hard time communicating and being around people. I want to find a real job that will pay me hourly or by project and where i can get trained to do certain things. Like a real online job, not a pyramid scheme or sales or anything just something like data entry or something. Please help ;(

Uncommon Sense is wrong. I don’t really understand the vehemence in his reply. ETP isn’t asking for a job where he gets money for nothing, but one he can do at home and online. Such non-scam jobs definitely exist.

Anyway, check with companies like Lionbridge or Leap Force. They hire internet assessors where you rate search engine content and so on. You get paid hourly. They do some testing beforehand, be ready to spend 2-3 weeks on the online self-study and exams.

If you know a foreign language and have the resources to get a bit of training (distance courses are available at reputed institutions like London City University), look into becoming a translator. Forums like translatorscafe.com and proz.com offer information and help.

If you like writing, offer your services as a blog post writer.

You can also work as a transcriber. It’s usually difficult to get to get a first job without experience, but sites like www.wahm.com offer information on that and other online jobs. No, you don’t need to be a work-at-home mom to sign up on that forum. 😉

http://www.workplacelikehome.com is another site with good information on online jobs, including the aforementioned Lionbridge etc.

In general, research the companies you want to apply for to make sure they’re genuine. Stay away from jobs that want you to pay beforehand, they’re almost always scams.

Good luck.

How can a prostitute get a job online?

Just wondering if anyone has any advice for me on how to get a job online. I am a former prostitute going clean and trying to make better of myself.

Nagesh answers:

The average person has about $1000 dollars worth of stuff just sitting around try to sell it. For real though, GOOD online jobs are few and far between. Unless your into pyramid schemes and all that or paying $100 for info about some online job that doesnt even tell you what exactly your doing tell you pay the money. Good morning america had some links to legit online jobs sites on there website, a while back mabey you should check that out. If you got the time try a local community college or online tech school and get a certificate in a vocation. Like a LPN or medical billing (you can get collage loans for vocations) .. Hope this little bit of less than par advice helps.

Sharon asks…

Are there any good ‘work from home jobs’ available that have good pay?

I already have a full time job mon-fri 8:45-3:10 but I need more money. Are there any good ‘work from home’ jobs (preferably on the computer which pays well and can get some extra cash
Thanks

Nagesh answers:

There is just no such thing as online jobs that you can do from home. These are all scams and the people that encourage you to do them and tell you how much money they have made, are all a part of the scam. The scam may be building a network of people, telemarketing, online sales, filling out surveys, gifting businesses, data entry, travel writing, transcription services or other similar ploys. Remember that data entry has been made obsolete by Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software which can read that characters in a document and translate those into text for you. Re-typing information is completely outdated and unneeded. Cut and paste jobs fall into the same category.

Multi-level marketing (also called network marketing) is a fine line away from an illegal pyramid scheme where the emphasis is on involving more people and not on selling products. If the emphasis is on building a marketing group but no product is being sold then that is a red flag. Also, if they are trying to get you to buy motivational materials, etc. Then you can cross them off too.

A word about Ponzi schemes – A Ponzi scheme is where you are asked to invest and the returns are usually paid for by the new incoming investors in the system. I friend of mine was involved in one of these. He was an innocent party but eventually when it all fell apart the investigators showed up at his door asking them to pay back all they had made and to testify against the original person who was running the scam. Bottom line was they lost thousands of dollars and they lost all their friends who had likewise been caught up in the scam.

I honestly wished that there were options for home online employment. Recently I went out to one of the web sites that people will post here as an online jobs site and their web site tried to install malware on my computer. Fortunately my anti-malware program detected and stopped that. I often find that the same one company will have several web sites that all eventually refer you into the same company and other strange stuff like web addresses that are not descriptive of the actual company name. Other web sites pay pennies per transaction (or whatever they assign you to do) that you do so we are talking about making so little money it is ridiculous.

Many of these ploys require some kind of up front registration fee. They are all designed to take your money or to take your personal information. With that information they can steal your personal identity and empty your bank account. I can’t think of any more diabolical scam than to give people, like single parents hope that they are going to make some money and then dash those hopes by giving them nothing but empty promises. Also, scamming single moms who are trying to keep their heads above water or teenagers who are trying to help their families or trying to earn a few dollars of spending money is about as low as you can go, in my book.
