What online business should I start?

I want to make extra money online and don’t know where to start. Any ideas? I can make t-shirts or buy clearance items at stores and sell them on e-bay. Should I day trade stocks? Invest in a cd? I have no idea where to start or how. Just need some advise.

If you are already familiar with ebay, then you are in a good position to make a business of it. For other types of online business, you need to get traffic. That means you need to do a lot of marketing and hard work to get people (traffic) to come to your site and then try to convince them to buy, once they are there.

A lot of skill is required and many people (over 90%) fail over and over or get scammed when they try to learn how it’s done.

At least with ebay, there are millions of people who are actually looking for something to buy and you get paid very quickly. You don’t have to pay for advertising or getting traffic.

Once you have sufficient feedback, you can establish an ebay store. There are a few companies that do “drop shipping” which means that you can profit by selling products that you don’t have to buy up-front or have in stock, working with a company that drop ships products. After your eBay customer buys the item, you order the item from the drop shipping company, and have them send it directly to the customer.

Some of the top ebayers earn many thousands a month. It’s a safe online business.

How can I send money online with no connection to my bank account or credit card?

Okay so I am trying to use this site to buy something and all the reviews look fine but for some reason I feel like they might keep charging my credit card because it site just looks a little unreliable. This site is the only place I can get the product so no going around it. I’m basically trying to find a site (like paypal except with no connection to any credit cards, bank accounts, other sources of money etc,) where I can just send my money to and then use that to pay for it. That way if this does happen they can only drain that account (I will obviously only put whats needed into it.) Obviously I know I shouldnt be using “unreliable” sites, so I don’t need any advice on that hahaha.. any ideas? THANK YOU!!!

You could buy a prepay-ed debit card. Another option is to get onto your credit card’s web site and see if they offer a virtual credit card. A virtual credit card is tied to your regular credit card but has a money limit and you can set it to expire quickly.

Preferably not something like survey sites, but are there any websites or iPhone apps where you can make quick money even if it’s not much for doing small tasks (or something similar)?

Do I need a vendor’s liscense to sell shirts I made with my own design?

Me and my friend have been talking about ways to make money quickly and I brought up T-Shirts and he said that’s an awesome idea but that we might need a liscense. The T-Shirts are just going to have designs we create. Do we need the liscense? Keep in mind we’re teenagers (16 and 17) and live in Southern California.

It depends on where you plan to sell them. You might be able to sell them at flea markets or online without a license. It’s usually the business location that determines the license.
