You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies.

You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job.

These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as “work at home” because they would hear from too many unqualified people.

Hey there! Making money isn’t the easiest job in the world… But, I do know a few ways to make some.

1. If you can play an instrument, or sing, Busk outside a store close to you, if your parents allow you. My friend makes 40$ in 2 hours
2. Do little house chores for your parents, and get them to pay you.

There isn’t many ways.. You don’t really need to make money when your 13.. And in a year and a half, you can get a job.

At 12, no one is legally allowed to employ you. You’re not legally allowed to work at a job, though you can have your own business. What can you sell? Or what service can you provide – that someone would hire a 12-year-old for?

Tutoring peers or younger kids is a possibility, if you’re tops in school. But it’s like babysitting or helping with household chores – you’d have to build up a clientele. You could make beaded jewelry and sell to your friends, but again, it would have to be good.

Here’s a real idea: Put together a group of 10 or so people who want to buy a laptop and have the money to do it. Negotiate a group rate from the manufacturer or a store so that they save a lot on the laptop and ask the store to throw in a laptop for you as commission for putting together the deal.

Another idea: Advertise on Craigslist in the barter section that you want to trade work for a laptop. Or email the ads where people are selling their laptops and see if they’d for this. Have your parents check out anyone who responds, but this might be your best bet.

Other suggestions:
Google on “$300 laptop” and check out the places where you can get them. They’re out there.

Ask your parents if they’d loan you the money and set up a way for you to pay it back.

Ask your parents to get it for you for your birthday or Christmas instead of other gifts. Or if they’d put money towards it so you only have to come up with some of the money.
