Mother of 3 needs to make some cash.. quick please help!?

Hello Everyone,
I really hate to open my personal life to everyone but, I can use all the help I can get.. I am currently on disability and have been for the past month and a half and EDD gives me a different answer every time I call.. I have yet to receive one check from disability…I have three kids 7, 5 and 4 months i just applied for Cash aide because I need money for groceries and that is if and when I get approved. does anyone have any other ideas that I could do to make some fast cash to pay my other bills. Please help..

Nagesh answers:

If you go to church, you can ask for financial help there. When I was younger, our church helped out many people including my mom once. Most of them never had to pay the money back.

I did the plasma thing before. You make money, but I don’t think it’s worth it. Besides, your baby is 4 months old, and giving plasma really drains you of energy. Not sure if you’re breast feeding, but if you are, that might be affected, so I wouldn’t do it for that reason too.

I can’t think of any legal way to get quick money, except may tutoring like someone suggested or maybe babysitting?

Good luck to you.

Daniel asks…

Any ideas on how to see my daughter more in home town- divorced dad?

Hello,

I have an 11 year old daughter that lives in NJ and I live in Mass. Her mom and I divorced when she was two years old. We resided in Mass. The mom wanted to move back to NJ with her parents for support. I did not want her to but the courts let her go and I ran out of money to fight it. Well, because she was two, I did not want to put her in a car all the time and I agreed to visit her every three weeks in NJ. I had to drive down (4.5 hours) stay in a hotel with her and back (4.5 hours) every three weeks. Fast forward to now, I am remarried with two step kids and a new baby. My step daughter is 10 and she and my daughter are very very close. I have a step son who is six and a two year old. It is very difficult for all of us to drive down (six people total) and stay in a hotel room big enough to accomodate us all and is not too expensive. And now, my 11 year old does not want to stay with me in a hotel if I come down alone without our whole family. I think it is a tween thing… She states she does not want to stay in hotels and wants to come to my house for visitation in Mass. But I don’t know how to bring her home. I get out of work on Friday at 5, I don’t get to NJ till 10 on Friday night. It is too late to put her in a car and drive back at 10 oclock at night. We would not get home until 2 a.m. So, I have to get a hotel room (by myself) and get her in the morning and drive back saturday morning. Then on sunday I have to drive 9 hours to bring her home and come back. She is barely here at my house for a day. And the traffic friday night from mass to NJ is brutal. A 5 hour ride is easily 7 hours trying to get by NY.

I have asked her mom if she would ever meet me halfway in CT so our daughter could come to my house for the weekend and she refuses. Our divorce agreement states my daughter can fly unnaccompanied minor program but my daughter is the timid type and refuses to fly alone and I don’t know if I feel comfortable about it either. I am not going to force her. I have tried to look into flying down there and getting her and flying with her because that is the fastest way, but that is three round trip tickets and over $700 dollars for a weekend. As a family of six, we can’t afford it. I have looked into the train but that does not work either for times. the only other thing I can think of is having my daughter go on the train to CT in the unnacommpanied minor program and I pick her up in CT. But is that safe? And I don’t even know if she will do it. And I doubt her mom would let her. I asked her mom if I could have longer holiday weekends for when I have days off which would allow for more time to travel and she said no it was unfair that she does not get any holidays. I asked for more time in summer and make the three weeks visits longer in between and she said no, because she is a teacher and has summer off and I would have to put her in camp while I work. I am close to giving up. I can’t move because I have a good job here as well as my wife and she is not allowed to move because my step kids dad lives in this state. And my wifes family lives here and helps us with daycare while we work. Help please? This is getting unbearable? I am running out of energy and ideas.

Nagesh answers:

Your Ex is mean… Really. How un cooperative she is!

You’re awesome! Wish my Ex would have been as cooperative as you.

First… She moved not you. I would actually consult with a lawyer about getting an order that Ex needs to meet you at half way.

Second, you should be able to alternate holidays. That is what I did with my Ex so that it was fair.

Also as for Summer – she has reason to say “no”. So what if you have to put your daughter in camp during the day? She’d probably have a great time!
You should be entitled to 2/3 of the summer.

Get a lawyer and rearrange your visitation schedule.

Sincerely

Charles asks…

How can I make my Wedding and Reception even more fun?!?

Okay everyone, so here’s the deal: We are having a wedding in about a month. Hawaii is a large part in our lives as that’s where he proposed when I visited him there when he was in the Navy. I also have been doing Polynesian dancing since I was 7 and I am 25 now.

So what we are doing is a mostly casual thing. Everyone is asked to be casual and comfortable. No gifts either. There will be approx 200 guests including kids. It will all take place in the evening, starting at 5:00pm and it will be dark around 8:00pm that night. It’s all at his parents house in the country on acres and acres.

As guests arrive, the dancers will be greeting them with a lei and kiss on the cheek! 🙂 The ceremony is by a fountain and pond. Very pretty. I am wearing a beach wedding dress and he is wearing khaki short and a white button up shirt. The wedding party is in matching fabric dresses for the ladies and shirts for the men. We are all going to wear flip flops. We also decided on no bouquets or anything, instead the ladies are going to hold a glass of champagne and the guys a beer.

After the ceremony, we will start the BBQ buffet immediately since we are taking photos before the event. There will be LOTS of awesome home made food prepared by our awesome families! During this time, there will be Hawaiian/beach themed music playing in the background. About 45min later we will do the speeches and then we will cut the cake. Once that is over, the live band will play for about 15min or so as they cake is passed out before an Authentic Luau is performed! They will be doing dances from Hawaii to Tahiti, including a fire dancer! So it will be very exciting! They also pull some of the guests up for audience participation in the end. That is about a 45min show all together.

We will also have a $1 Tiki Bar. Basically, we are taking care of most the expenses for the bar, all but $1 each. So we are still forking out $2-3 each drink that people buy… There will be things like Jungle Juice, Beer, Mai-Tais, Hurricanes & Coke w/ Rum. Which the Tiki Bar will be open before the ceremony.

After the Luau, we will do the garter and bouquet. This will be around 8pm. I figure most will leave at this time. The band will play during this “transition” time for about an hour as people say bye and all and then we are having an “after party”. Just a few hours with no schedule, program or anything. Just so we can actually enjoy the evening, it not go by so fast and really get to visit with some guests. We have quite a few flying in or driving a long ways, and a wedding is not the greatest place for catch up and hang out. I don’t care if only 15 people are there for the “after party” We will have a DJ, the bar and all as well during this time.

Anyway, so I think that’s it. So what I am looking for is some ideas to make sure this is a blast for everyone! I want people to want to stay!

I am getting a piñata for the kids as well as something for them to do, not too sure yet. And someone also mentioned having a volley ball net set up or something…?

We already got all the tiki torches to put everywhere, as well as party lights to hang and there is already a built in fire pit that they have there too! So I was thinking maybe get some stuff to make Smores!

I basically just want a really fun, comfortable and memorable evening! I don’t care about tradition, being fancy or impressing anyone. This is a time to live it up for us before my fiancé gets deployed in a few months.

Thank you all in advance for any ideas!!!

P.S. Please don’t respond with lectures of spending money and all that matters is marrying the one I love and all that. Just so you know, not a lot is being spent. We have a very large family and everyone is pitching in a little to help with the food & drink. I have a very close friend who owns a party rental store, so those are nearly free except for the people to set things up. The band and dancers, I am part of the group and we are all like family… they wouldn’t let me pay a dime if I tried! Again, lots of people are traveling to get there, I want it to be worth it and fun! So please, spare the rudeness and just leave my question alone if that’s all you have to say. That is not what I am asking for. I am asking for ideas to make it more fun, unique or more pleasant!
Awww you all are so sweet. Yeah, sorry it was kinda long, lol. And great advice for the time taken to get through a line. It will be a double sided line of food. And 45min may be enough before speeches start. If not, no biggie. We will also have siblings (there are 14 total) pass out the cake during the Luau. If people arent ready for it, they can just wait. But still, I may add 15 min to each area of time. Thanks again!!!

Nagesh answers:

Have the table cloth on the children’s table be white paper where the kids can color on it. If the kids are having a good time the parents won’t want to leave. Get them bubbles to blow while you are doing your dances, and sparklers for everyone.

You might be surprised, people might stay longer than you think! Most importantly have FUN!

Mandy asks…

Good idea for a way to make some money on the side?

Hi all, I’m almost seventeen and I really want a car of my own. However, I don’t have a job. Nor do I want one. I’m not into the mundane jobs I could get as a high school student. I have been messing with computers since I was a little kid. I’ve taught myself html, css, java, visual basic, c++, perl, and php. I also manage my own Linux-based server at home and I have built multiple computers and study network and computer security frequently. Anyway, I have seen how people will pay Geek Squad (from BestBuy) hundreds of dollars to do absolutely nothing to their computers. I got to thinking…what if I could do something like that? My question is, do you think this is a feasible business idea? Could I leave fliers in upper-middle class house’s doors and offer a service to make Windows-based computers faster, secure wireless networks, upgrade hardware, or do any of the stuff the average consumer is too afraid to/can’t do? Would you trust a sixteen year old with this? Even if I made a up contract? If so, how much money do you think is fair? Anything I’m not thinking of? Thanks for your input.

Nagesh answers:

What have you got to lose? Go out there and put up some fliers and see if you get any calls. Then see what THEY are willing to pay. I would think word of mouth is going to be your best source of additional business so make sure you are providing a satisfactory customer experience. And don’t think that all jobs hs students get are mundane. At the very least, every one of them is a learning experience. Good luck.

Your Questions About Money Making Schemes Uk

Jenny asks…

How hard is it for Americans to immigrate to the UK or Australia. I have a Masters and some work experience?

And I have enough funds to buy a house.

Nagesh answers:

It depends on your occupation and how much post qualification work experience you have in that occupation. The amount of money you have makes no difference, though some of Australia’s states and territories require appplicants to have $30 – $50k in settlement funds if they want state sponsorship so money would overcome that particular hurdle – it’s only one of many hurdles though and only applies to state sponsored visas.

You must have qualifications and experience in an occupation listed as being in need of workers and you must also pass the points test or have employer sponsorship so that you qualify for a skilled immigration visa. There is no provision for visas for unskilled or partly skilled workers or even for highly skilled workers whose occupation is not listed.

There are several lists of eligible occupations:

1. The Skilled Occupations List (SOL).
If your occupation is on the SOL, you may be eligible to apply for an independent visa. These visas are permanent; there is a points test and skills assessment for your occupation is required before a visa application can be lodged.
Http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/175/ Skilled – Independent (Migrant) Visa (Subclass 175)
http://www.immi.gov.au/asri/ Skills assessment

2. Each Australian state and territory has a State Migration Plan (SMP) which lists the occupations for which state sponsorship is available. Refer to each state’s SMP to see if sponsorship is available for your occupation.
Http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/176/nom-state-terr.htm State and territory migration sites.

Once you have obtained state sponsorship, you can apply for a state sponsored visa. These visas are points tested and skills assessment is required.
Http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/176/ Skilled – Sponsored (Migrant) Visa (Subclass 176)

3. The Employer Nomination Scheme Occupation List (ENSOL).

If your occupation is on the ENSOL but not on the SOL, you must have employer sponsorship; 3 years work experience and an offer of employment for at least 3 years. There is no points test, but skills assessment is required (as above).
Http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/skilled-workers/ens/ Employer Nomination Scheme (Subclass 121/856)

4. The list of occupations eligible for temporary 457 employer sponsored visas.

If your occupation is on the 457 list, you may be eligible for a temporary employer sponsored visa which can sometimes lead to sponsorship (after 2 years) for a permanent visa but ONLY if your occupation is also listed on the ENSOL and only if your employer is willing to sponsor you again..
Http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/skilled-workers/sbs/ 457 visa

The only work visa that has no list of eligible occupations is an employer sponsored Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (Subclass 119/857). The work must be in an eligible regional area and certain educational, experience and sponsorship requirements must be met. RSMS visas are not points tested and skills assessment is not usually required.

Lizzie asks…

17 just doing my test and have driving disqualification how much will insureance be?

Hello i’m 17 and just about to do my test i have had a driving disqualification which was 6 months long and no points i am just woundering hoe much it is going to cost me to insure a 1.0-1.2 and what car in the uk would be the cheapest to insure thanks alot 🙂 regards Bilal

Nagesh answers:

How long is a piece of string. There are so many other factors that will go to make up the premium for your insurance and then with the effect of the disqual on top any estimate on here would be a pure guess. There is so much that you cannot tell us on here.

There are many factors which are used by the insurer to calculate the risk and so the premium they charge for car insurance – these are mainly;
1 Age and sex of the policyholder (who must be the Main driver, and registered keeper) and that of any additional drivers.
2. The cars age, mileage, value, insurance group, security and the companies own claims history for that vehicle
3. The occupation of the policyholder and any named drivers
4. The claims history of any drivers
5. The licence details of drivers (endorsements, length of time held)
6. Where the car is normally kept overnight (is it the policyholders address? On road is more expensive than on a drive which is more expensive than in a locked garage.
7. What use will the car be insured for, social and domestic is the minimum but if commuting and use for the policyholders business or their employers business is added the price increases. If used to commute where is the car to be parked when there – on road or in a car park.
8. Does the car have any modifications from the standard factory fresh condition like alloy wheels or performance enhancements – some insurers will refuse to cover modified cars, some will increase the price and some will cover them but only for return to standard.
You need to tell the full truth about everything asked and inform them of any changes to any of the details disclosed as the policy goes on – failing to do that can render it null and void.

Some younger drivers consider putting the car and insurance in a parents name with the parent as a fraudulent main driver and them as an occasional named driver to cut the premiums. This common scam is called “Fronting” and is an illegal act which can get parent and son/daughter into a lot of long lasting expensive troubles.

Most insurers offer a monthly payment scheme and most need about 15% up front to start the cover. The scheme is usually in the form of a loan and so interest is charged – this can be as much as 25% APR. This is usually at rate which is higher than most credit cards even charge so look at other ways to borrow the money to spread the cost if possible as it will be cheaper.

With a few minor differences these are the questions you will be asked before being given a quote. Not having supplied these details on Yahoo Answers, and who would, it is impossible to give a guess of a price for you to within even £1000 for a younger newly qualified driver.

Nancy asks…

Do any of you think the Liberal Democrats (UK) will ever be the leader in parliament?

I don’t know if I can stomach a liberal democract prime minister. They want to push us further into Europe. Do you think they’ll ever come to power?

Nagesh answers:

Stop it, you are making me laugh. Snort, pass the hankie I need to wipe my eyes. Very funny.

They are as useless and as incompetent as Labour. You only have to look at the mess they have made of Greenwich and Liverpool. They waste money on bird-brained schemes that benefit no one but the knit – your – muesli brigade. One stupid scheme that cost £thousands was a cycle path of 10 metres in length. It started in the middle of nowhere and finished in the middle of nowhere.

They are arrogant and stupid, nothing more than political opportunists!

Linda asks…

Can you get in trouble for inviting people to these Kony events?

I know this is really far fetched … but for some reason I’m wondering about this. Could you get in trouble for inviting people to these Kony ‘Cover the night’ events? I now know that it is fly posting and vandalism.
Sorry if it is a stupid question!

Nagesh answers:

Why would you involve them in this scam?

We’re being scammed and spammed, massively. You should all respond and let people know every time they post this nonsense.

I think it is a closed issue. Why wouldn’t we attack you for participating in this scam and trying to spam us constantly about it?

According to Forbes Magazine:

The video is inaccurate and outdated as Joseph Kony is no longer in the Uganda.
The video oversimplifies the complex history of Uganda and the LRA.
The video does more harm than good by focusing the issue on one man.
The video is a prime example of slactivism that reduces real issue to memes.

The government there is STILL there and just as guilty of atrocities, and now the US is being put into a sovereign country into another war.

I think there is a scam going on and a lot of people are spending money on a scam.

He fled his country a long time ago. This is a money-making scheme.

Also listen to people from Uganda:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCv1GybEUxc

We are REALLY tired of this garbage.

If they hadn’t spammed every site they could find, pretending to be things they weren’t, they might have received a reasonable reception.

It is propaganda on a while new level:

KONY 2012: State Propaganda for a New Generation

On Yahoo! Answers “Invisible Children” and their supporters CONSISTENTLY posted, every few minutes in areas like Fashion, or Games, about KONY 2012. It was CONTEMPTIBLE and unethical.
They have made millions on this garbage, and TARGETED our children as consumers.

It’s wrong. They should be investigated for fraud and scamming who knows how many foolish people, particularly teenagers.

Enough of them.

Joseph asks…

What is the best route to take if I want to become a pilot..?

Hi,

I am really just looking to see if someone is able to give me a little information/help.
Recently, I have considered a career as a commercial airline pilot in the UK, however have no idea as to what I need to do/ or how I go about fulfilling this ambition. From a young age I always considered this to be my dream job, a great way of helping others. Now, to the tricky part – I am only 18 years old, just finished school and have a part-time job.
I live in Scotland so studied Standard Grade and Higher Exams and gained a fair few qualifications, but I know very well it is not so simple to just take a CV into a flying school and ask for a job 🙂

Therefore, to sum it all up…where should I go from here?
Any help is kindly appreciated.

Nagesh answers:

Start by thinking how you’re going to fund it. I managed my training from 0hrs to CPL/IR (Commercial Pilots Licence & Instrument Rating) and MCC (Multi-Crew Co-operation) for less than £50k all in the UK, however this was with some help from training grants, heavily discounted hour building courtesy of the RAF flying clubs and some real penny pinching however I could when it came to accommodation etc. More realistically you’re looking at around £55-60k all the way up to £100k.

Once you have an action plan start taking a few lessons at a local flying club to make sure its really what you want to do. Then get yourself a class 1 medical, its no use forking out all that money only to find out in the later stages you’re medically unfit!

There are two routes to the licence from this stage, integrated and modular.

Integrated is the more expensive option and will cost you around £80k up to £100k all things considered, however many people prefer this route as they believe having the name of a big school on their CV improves their chances of landing that 1st job (questionable). This course will take you all the way through the ground school and flying in the space of around 12-14 months and in the end you will emerge with a CPL/IR.

The integrated route is the route you will take if you are lucky enough to get on an airline ‘sponsorship’ scheme. These are few and far between but definitely the way to go if you can get one. You’ll still be expected to secure funding for the course, however the airline may assist you as guarantor on a bank loan, and you will be promised a job at said airline upon completion of training.

The other route is known as the modular route, this can be done for far less, in the region of £50-60k. Here you will complete a PPL (Private Pilots Licence) then you will have to build your experience flying around 150hrs total and 100 as pilot in command. Whilst you are doing this you can be studying for and sitting the 14 ATPL (Airline Transport Pilots Licence) theory examinations, and completing a night rating. All that done you can begin training for your CPL, Multi-Engine and Instrument Rating, once you’ve passed all the flight tests and have the appropriate experience (200hrs total, 100 in command) you can apply for your licence. The final requirement is an MCC course and you’re ready to start applying to airlines.

Its a long road, but great fun, enjoy!

What is the easiest way to make money?

I am trying to buy new skis and i need money fast
by the way i can not make money off online

Nagesh answers:

You could setup a blog or website, this is completely free. Once you have added some good content, you can start to earn money from advertising. I know you wont make a huge income from this, but it would get you started working from home.

Pick a topic which you are very interested in, and write a piece on that everyday.

What businesses will donate money for a mission trip to Haiti?

I’m going to Haiti this July IF I can get the money. It’s $1350, and I need the money by May 1st. What companies/businesses would be willing to donate money to this cause? My church could only raise $100 for me, and I need this money fast. I also don’t have much time, because I have school and many other activities. Please help!!

Nagesh answers:

Sammy

Don’t be looking for a free ride here
When you say , I don’t have time and …

Every business will donate to you, if you ask them correctly.
First get your Church to write you a letter that this is a mission
trip and it is ‘tax deductable’

After school you need to visit some companies, start with the ones with
the biggest buildings. Every day, you need to do this.

You have 3 months to raise this money and you seen 600 per month.

Now that I have answered your question, Here is what you need to do. !!
Can you and your friend do some great thing to raise the money.

We did walkathon’s when I was young.. Walk to somewhere that is 25-30 miles away.
Will take you all day. But you then go get pledges for this, , and you get people you know, and neighbors to pledge .25 cents to 2 a mile.
You just need to 65 people to Pledge so each week you find 20 people or companies
to pledge, it is very easy, everyone in your group can be involved.
You can pick up trash along the way.
You can carry a old couch or bed. As part of the stunt.

It is walk for Haiti.. Say also the left over monies will be used for the people when you are there.

I could be your first pledge, if you get everyone involved. PayPal is a wonderful thing.

How can I raise about $1500 in about 3 months?

I have two major trips I plan on raising money for. A trip to AZ in December, then a trip to Europe over the summer. I need some way to earn money somewhat quickly, but my week is booked so I only have weekends to work with. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Nagesh answers:

Are they for school? You can take out student loans. Get a job being a waitress. You get good tips, up to $100 a night. I don’t know if that will add up but since you only have the weekends…it seems like the best shot. And since you only have weekends, that will look good for the restaraunt because obviously that’s when they will be busy.

I would recommend reading the articles at http://www.problogger.net. They even have a section on how to make money blogging. It lists their top income streams: AdSense, Chitika, private ad sales, shopzilla, job boards, etc : http://www.problogger.net/make-money-blogging/

But all in all, it takes a lot of time and work to make money blogging. You need to offer unique and useful content. If you just want to make quick money, it will show in your posts. You need to persevere and offer quality content. It takes time, research and dedication.

– Plan your blog. What will you talk about? Find a subject you are passionate about or else you will lose interest quickly! How will it be unique? Find a niche. Discuss your idea with friends. Think of a good name for your blog.

– Get your domain name, find a webhost, setup WordPress or something similar and find a nice template.

– Signup for Google Sitemaps and Google analytics, read about SEO and implement ideas.

– Learn how to write for the Web and start planning and writing your articles.

– Invite people to comment your articles and engage with them in your articles and in the comments section.

– Participate in other people’s blogs. This takes time; don’t just visit a blog and write “Hey, nice post!”; it will show you are just trying to get a link. Link to other blogs in your posts and other bloggers will start linking back to you.

– Tell everyone you know about your blog. If you have a friend blogger, ask him or her for a plug.

– Setup a newsletter (There are newsletter plugins for WordPress)

It could take months and months before you get followers. I would wait a while before trying to make money with ads as it can put off people when you only have a few articles but lots of ads. When you do start inserting ads, make sure they are useful ads for your readers or else people will just be annoyed.

Hope this helps! If not, you will find a lot more info at problogger.net

Your Questions About Money Making Schemes From Home

James asks…

What are the pros and cons of becoming a provident agent?

I currently have a full time job however I am seeking more income I have been told about provident but I’ve read up It’s not so good.

Also are you lending your own money or the companies and how does the whole process work

Nagesh answers:

1. How the scheme of provident agents works?

“Agents visit customer’s homes to collect loan repayments weekly and secure repeat business by offering further credit, where appropriate, to customers who can afford to pay it back. Agents need to make responsible lending decisions and comply with financial legal and regulatory guidelines.”

“…. Agents are paid commission on collection of repayments and additional commission on sales to new customers, plus there are plenty of additional incentives to boost that income.”

For details, please read at:

http://www.providentpersonalcredit.ie/become-an-agent/

3. Reviews & Comments about Provident:

– Please read reviews/comments on the scheme at the under noted sites, which may help you in assessing the scheme:

Michael asks…

Why do people say Social Security is like a ponzi scheme?

They say they both get money from people and use it to pay off earlier investors. That’s true, but social security is MANDATORY. Ponzi schemes are VOLUNTARY.

Social security is even worse than a ponzi scheme. So stop calling it that, it’s an insult to ponzi schemes! Why do people still call it this?

Nagesh answers:

When Government is involved in any financial matters we see what happens. Look at our current financial position. Liberal involvement that tries to make things fair through laws for everyone just causes more laws by liberal thinking. We have too many laws and Government entities to pay for. They’ve used Social Security monies to pay for all of their socialistic laws. It will take a big “cliff-dive” to show how much they’ve over-stepped when it comes to the Government financing of their assinine laws.

I would blame most of this on the “Baby-Boomers”. They never used a credit card before and it felt so good they had to keep using it no matter what happened. Now they are running our Government.

Flower – Thanks for making my point clearer. Who gets paid when people go bankrupt when they over-extended and can’t pay? There’s no difference between irresponsible people and the irresponsible Government when it comes to handling money. The only ones that made out in the bank bail-out were the big banks, but the Government had that already set up for them with our laws. The Government had a hard time saying no because the economy was rolling and governments were taking in tons of money. Infortunately it happened under the Bush Administration and he got blaimed when it was our Liberal laws that set the stage.

I would also add that earning money has nothing to do with spending it. It is well known that people can live well on a $30,000 a year income and can afford a $100,000 home.

David asks…

are there any lagit work from home jobs?

envelope stuffers and so on, any good work form home jobs?, and how would one check out before paying if not a scam?

Nagesh answers:

While you may find these ads appealing, especially if you can’t work outside your home, proceed with caution. Not all work-at-home opportunities deliver on their promises.

Many ads omit the fact that you may have to work many hours without pay. Or they don’t disclose all the costs you will have to pay. Countless work-at-home schemes require you to spend your own money to place newspaper ads; make photocopies; or buy the envelopes, paper, stamps, and other supplies or equipment you need to do the job. The companies sponsoring the ads also may demand that you pay for instructions or “tutorial” software. Consumers deceived by these ads have lost thousands of dollars, in addition to their time and energy.

Legitimate work-at-home program sponsors should tell you – in writing – what’s involved in the program they are selling. Here are some questions you might ask a promoter:

* What tasks will I have to perform? (Ask the program sponsor to list every step of the job.)
* Will I be paid a salary or will my pay be based on commission?
* Who will pay me?
* When will I get my first paycheck?
* What is the total cost of the work-at-home program, including supplies, equipment and membership fees? What will I get for my money?

Jenny asks…

Are there any well known companies hiring for work at home positions?

I’m looking for well know fortune 500 companies that are hiring for work at home positions. I’m looking for something no less than 12.00/hr. Also with the usual benefits and full-time employment. I don’t want any business opportunity schemes or anything like that. I want well-known companies,I can’t stress that enough. Please only serious responses please, NO IGNORANT ANSWERS PLEASE!!

Nagesh answers:

EBay is a good option. Start selling stuff on it. It is flexible, easy to learn, and you can make good money.
You can work on your schedule and do as much as you need or want to. You can fit eBay in around other things in your life.

Charles asks…

What are alternatives to making money without having to get a job?

I would love a job and I have had them too. But it seems like my health is going down and I can’t do anything as far as a real job. I am physically almost weak like I can’t stress and I can’t lift heavy things. I feel very dizzy every now and then all of the sudden it will happen. So I really don’t go anywhere other then actually going with someone from home. It’s not that no one won’t hire me it’s just I don’t like risking myself with anything anymore because I have.

Anyways, the point is I need something easy I don’t actually mean NOT getting a job I mean doing something that is easy or at home or anything. What can I do? And ideas?

Nagesh answers:

Check out worldventures.com. A ton of people will tell you it’s a pyramid scheme but it’s actually legit. The only thing is that you have to put effort into it and you have to be a fairly social and friendly person to be successful.

Your Questions About Fast Money Making Fundraisers

Sandra asks…

My boyfriend is addicted to Loratab 10mg, how can I help him to get off of these?

I need help getting my boyfrnd to stop or at least slow down, on taking too many Loratabs. He is addicted bad!?
Okay my boyfriend started taking loratabs about a year ago. He would take just 1 only on his day off and only if he had nowhere to go because he didnt like to drive while under the influence. Now remember he started taking them just for the hi, not because was perscribed them. For a while it stayed a week-end thing, like 1-2 pills a week. Then it was like out of nowhere (it seems) he is taking them daily, and has been for about the last 6mo. or so. Now he has to have them otherwise his body aches and hurts and goes thru a detox, and I hear it sucks bad, its harder to get off of than any other drug, it compares to heroin. He has yet had to go without for about the last 4mo. ago or so. So I really dont know what to expect when he does have to go thru that. Well 5-6 yrs ago before this started he was a total square. He is a great man, good father to his and mine, and a good provider, well used to be, he still is but it’s fading. He has a great career as a F&B director with a large company here in Las Vegas. I’m just afraid of losing everything. He is up to 20 PILLS A DAY!!! TAKING 5 LORATAB 10mg AT A TIME!!! 5 PILLS AT A TIME!! I dont know what to do. He says he wants to get off this **** but shows no effort. He has pawned his jewlery, his gun, his amp… and that is not him! He used to be so proud of what was his because he had worked hard to get everything he has, he was so proud. He pawned them to pay bills, but we are behind in the bills because he’s buying too many pills! 20 pills a day, at $3.00 a pill = $60 a day x30 days is $1800.00 a month!! We can’t keep doing this, he is dragging us down fast! I dont know what to do. When he is getting low on them nothing else matters to him untill he knows he’s getting more and I hate it! I had to draw the line because last week my 9yr. daughter had a school fundraiser and the day after we turned it in the school calls me and says that the fundraiser money was $50 bucks short! That’s bullshit, he denied it but I know. What can I do to make him get help! PLEASE! Sorry this was so long, I just wanted to give detail.

Charles asks…

How come Democrats seem to be perfectly OK with Obama’s brand of Crony Capitalism?

Banking “reform”……….a joke. Most of the rules never even got written. Not to mention the Obama White House actively opposed re-instating Glass-Steagall (separate commercial from investment banking), actively opposed breaking up banks that were “too big to fail” and actively opposed a full audit of the Federal Reserve.

Health care “reform”……….bigger joke. Nothing but a gift basket to Big PhRMA and the Insurance industry. The Obama White House even negotiated a deal with Billy Tauzin (who represented PhRMA at the time)…..the SAME GUY they bashed in a 2008 campaign ad as an example of corrupt deal making in Washington.

Fast & Furious…………..arm cartels in hopes of using increased gun violence as rationale for tighter gun control laws? CORRUPT. Unless Holder honestly had no clue this was going on……..in which case he should still resign for being incompetent and unfit to run a department.

Solydra…………….again, just follow the money. It would be one thing if it were just a federal loan. But the way this loan was structured was unique……why?

And for a more recent example of Obama/Dems blatantly flaunting their crony capitalistic tendencies in front of everyone:
http://news.yahoo.com/obama-raises-funds…

WHY would Obama go to this fundraiser UNLESS he KNOWS that REGARDLESS of what he does (ie collect money from lawyers that represent high end Wall Street firms….who also happen to be linked to Jon Corzine, guy Obama was going to make Treasury Secretary, who can’t locate $500 million) YOU will defend him and pretend he is for the people.
@james…..

“Is this an extremely “slanted” question, or shall we just call it a rant?”

Call it whatever you want. I know you can’t refute any of it.

Nagesh answers:

Is this an extremely “slanted” question, or shall we just call it a rant?

Joseph asks…

Would you stick with this job? Please no rude comments. Looking for legitimate answers.?

I began a job today working for the MDA (muscular dystrophy association) trying to call local business owners to see if they would like to support a fundraisers. Each business owner is asked to raise $3200 by June. Basically, the job is 6 hours of day of making phone calls. Nothing else. Yes, basically telemarketing. Like the rest of the world’s population, I hate receiving these types of calls. I understand that it is for a good cause; however, some of the company’s methods are borderline harassment. They told us to say ANYTHING to get a committed donor–even saying that we are doctors and such…Um not true, but “It is not a lie if it’s for a good cause.” That comment sent up red flags for me because I believe honesty is the best policy regardless (unless it’s going to intentionally hurt someone i.e. “You’re fat”) And then, once I got on the phone I encountered angry owners, crazy secretaries, and people that just did not give a care! Now, I have to be honest, if I were the owner of a mom&pop business, I would not be shelling out $3200 to some organization. I don’t blame these people for acting this way since I would totally do the same. BUT, if when I tried to get off the phone with the disrespectful people, my manager fussed at me and told me that I didn’t try hard enough to win them over. I am paying my own way through grad school right now and the job is $10 per hr. It is about 40 minutes away from my house. I have a 30 minute lunch break, but there are no restaurants in the vicinity. It would take approximately 30 minutes to even reach a restaurant like fast food that I would have time to eat. My last job was in a corporate office (right by a mall so TONS of restaurants) with an hour lunch break and $18 per hr. Yes, I know those types of job don’t come around too often. I would still be working there now, but I was on as a contractor and my contract expired. I am stuck. I just got home, head spinning. I really need some money…Oy vey, what do you think I should do? Stay or move on?

Nagesh answers:

I share your distaste for having to lie – falsehood never is good, no matter the motivation..

A lie becomes legitimate if it’s told for a good cause? Totally lacking in integrity.

Personally, I would just move on. There should be other jobs out there, since the wage is so close to minimum, you can get a comparative or even better wage elsewhere without compromising your integrity and character.

I suspect you’re going to totally burned out before long, anyway. Working in a place without morals and high pressure is not a long term type thing. Get out before it affects your studies.

Paul asks…

fundraiser for a grade 8 graduation?

alright,
so basically,
our school has grade 8 girls and boys graduating this year..(obviously..)
anyway,
the school will be holding a ceremony for us at a special place..
the problem?
each ticket costs 80 dollars!
some people have four members in their families!
that comes down to way over 200 dollars,
and no one wants to pay this much money to come to a graduation ceremony.
we have a freezie fundraiser going on, which will raise us some money
to lower down the cost of the tickets,
but its not working out too well; in three weeks,
we made barely over 100 dollars.
we need something,
a good fundrasier,
that can be held and garuanteed to make a lot of money,
to lower the cost of tickets for about 45 students;
school appropriate, does anyone have any ideas ?
we need something, and we need it fast :S

Nagesh answers:

$80 is crazy. The school’s administration has grade A rocks in their head. It’s too bad that eight grade graduation will be the only one 33% of them will see.

Your Questions About Earn Money Through Internet Home

James asks…

I want a genuine online earning education center to earn money online in Bangladesh.?

Who can teach me different income program to start earning in Bangladesh at home. Is there any one who can help me in this matter. I need 100% genuine institution.

Nagesh answers:

Here are the main ways you can earn money from the Internet:

1. Sell products on the Web – You can either sell: (a) through your own storefront through your own website or applications such as Yahoo Stores; or (b) sell through online auctions like eBay

http://www.ebay.com
http://www.amazon.com

2. Information Delivery. Others such as About.com create content and monetize their content in a number of ways:

a. Advertising – there are several ways you can earn money from advertising:

1. Join an advertising network. Advertising networks are organizations that aggregate Web sites that offer advertising space, and sell banner ads (and other advertising options) across them. Traffic requirement is often a minimum of 5,000 monthly impressions, although many do not accept sites hosted by free page services.

Burst Media http://www.burstmedia.com
ValueClick http://www.valueclickmedia.com
Advertising.com. Http://www.advertising.com
Tribal Fusion http://www.tribalfusion.com

2. Participate in contextual advertising networks. Contextual advertising are text ads delivered based on the content of the web page using an automated system.

Google Adsense https://www.google.com/adsense/

Kontera http://www.kontera.com
Chitika http://www.chitika.com
Bidvertiser http://www.bidvertiser.com/

3. Sell advertising for your site directly. This is admittedly a more difficult route for a small business site wanting to earn advertising revenues. But hey, as they say: “no pain, no gain!”

b. Affiliate Programs – you sell other people’s products that your audience may be interested in; and you get a certain commission after the desired action was done (whether a sale, a lead, subscription to email newsletter, or however this is defined)

Paid online content. Hoovers.com or WebmasterWorld.com Supporters forum all require paid subscription before accessing the information

Carol asks…

Anyone know of any genuine work-from-home companies?

I’ve searched the web but found that every company wants a fee before I start, which makes them sound a bit dodgy.
I’m looking to earn some etra cash whie I stay at home with my little girl.
I’d apprecate answers from people who have experience with reputible companies.

Nagesh answers:

Hi my freind,
Here is 3 web sites that i narrowed down after viewing thousands believe me when i say thousands,
to the point where i got fed up and almost gave up but i thought i need to work and because i cannot go out in the workforce, the best thing for me to do is find something to do from home,
I am not going to get rich but i am hoping to make some income and help out with my household finances

They dont cost anything to join these 3 that i have given you are 100% free, the first one is a company that has thousands of products – you can advertise them, i do it through ebay and send them your customers address and they send it out to them, the products are all wholesale prices you advertise any product you choosee at the price you want and they send you the profits in your account, there is no cost to you at all.

The second one is referal which they pay high commisions
again 100% free to join they work with points which at the end of each month they get converted into cash.
And the third one again is referals they pay quite high as well
View them and you decide,
As for me i lost too much money in trying to make some money, like i said above i almost gave up, but i am trying if i find something else i will post it here
Good luck, and i hope i helped out a little

http://www.dropship-business.com/index.html?aid=194930A

http://www.emailcash.com.au/join.asp?refer=L94769″

http://secure.hostgator.com/cgi-bin/affiliates/clickthru.cgi?id=evepats

Make up to $125 per sale!
1-5 a month $50
6-10 a month $75
11-20 a month
$100 20+ a month $125
The more you send the more you make!

They give the best returns on the Internet!Example:
If you send 21 sign-ups in any month they pay $125×21 = $2625

Your Questions About Fast Money Online Now

Robert asks…

Need fast money to join a sorority?

I’ve been wanting to pledge since I was little but my parents never really had spare money to put away. Now that I’m in college I really don’t have extra cash like that and any extra money I have is for books and food. If I don’t go out for it this semester I won’t be able to do it until grad school and who knows when that will be. Any tips on coming into some fast cash. I’ve already tried online surveys and tutoring online. They don’t work. So anything else that has been proving to work. Thanks in advance

Nagesh answers:

This is tough, but try to apply for some on campus jobs.

If you can’t apply for some on campus jobs, look at nearby food / retail places. Try to get a part time job somewhere.

If that doesn’t work, apply to a temp agency and learn word/excel really well so you can do admin work or data entry.

Have a strong resume ready and prepare your pitch to potential park time employers. Honestly, for retail work, people are just looking for reliable people that won’t steal from them. If you’re both reliable and trustworthy and can prove that, if someone is hiring, you should be fine.

If you’re looking for a way for “quick money” without working, I don’t think it exists.

Sororities can be pretty expensive. My experience in a fraternity was about $400 / semester, it’ll probably be a little more expensive because my fraternity didn’t have a real “house” per-se. I think sororities are a great place to meet life long friends but really think about if its something you really want. If it is, then i’m sure you’ll find a way to make ends meet and join.

Apply to different places, see if anyone is willing to pick you up or give you a try.

Have a great time in college, make good choices but don’t be afraid to make mistakes.

Cheers

BTW – grad school students do the frat / greek thing. It’s pretty much a different world than undergrad.

You can create a blog too. You can generate money just ranting about your interests

Find a local one go online and apply and go in store to apply or call and ask if they are hiring.

What I did was Google a bunch of business near my home and found their numbers using Google maps or their sites and I called and directly asked if they are hiring and what age do they hire at.

Donald asks…

How can a 15 year old girl make money in Colorado Springs?

I need money FAST. Lots of it. About $300. Nowhere close to where I live is hiring, and you have to be 16 to work at most places anyways. I like to babysit, but nobody needs babysitters right now. I don’t have anything I could sell that people might want to buy. I REFUSE to do any of those online “make money now!” things, so please don’t tell me to do that.
Glaceau: That would work, except for the part where I said nowhere close to where I live is hiring. None of the restaraunts, stores, or any other businesses are hiring because of the economy. It’s really a pain, but even if I got a permit, I wouldn’t be able to find a job.

Nagesh answers:

Get a work permit and work
there’s no quick way to get money like that unless its doing something degrading like stripping or selling your body. Drugs…so on

Your Questions About Quick Ways To Make Money For Teenagers

Lisa asks…

Why are people so quick to diagnose you these days and say you have a chemical imbalance?

I’ll admit I’ve been depressed for some time now and on occasion it has been severe but whatever happened to “well that’s life, you have to get used to it!” I’m not a teenager at 28 and would have to say my awareness of depression probably started when I was about to turn 19. Oddly enough I was studying Psychology at the time and to me it seems like the more introspective I became the worse my depression got…started feeling like I had been depressed my entire life and blah blah blah.

But what got me back on track was realizing that yeah, I had depressing times but who doesn’t? Life is messy, it’s not all peaches and cream and Ozzy and Harriet…death is horrific and more frightening than anything Stephen King can conjure up.

The weird thing about it..I noticed around that time 2002-2003 is when all this technology was spiraling out of control…I was contented in my high school years without a cell phone but then when on college campus you couldn’t even meet anyone in the courtyards because they were all looking down into their cellphones, I didn’t even have one or a laptop.

People who look at me like a weirdo for not having them and being super perficent with all things technological…maybe I’m getting off on a tangent.

The whole idea of having anxiety, and this kid is bi-polar, we have children’s prozac, he has a “chemical imbalance” whatever happened to kids will be kids, now there are like entrance exams for pre-schools, it’s ridiculous.

I think it’s just a major scam by the drug manufacturers to make more money…it’s reported that 2 out of 3 people who take anti-depressants are still severely depressed, and side effects of those drugs usually include thoughts of suicide and actual suicide…like WOW, you really think it’s a good idea?

Can’t we just agree that life can be sad and you have to take the good with the bad instead of trying to pinpoint every thought and anxious feeling and overly medicate and wrongly diagnose..it’s outrageous, I worked in a pharmacy and there were all these clinical test and documents that would be contradicted by clinical tests and documents 2 months later!!!!! It’s bs.

The tangent I was going on earlier was that I feel our culture is just becoming increasingly more bankrupt leading to more depression and anxiety..it has nothing to do with chemical imbalance of the brain and everything to do with this celebrity obsessed, instant fame, twittering and facebooking your way into fame superficial culture.

How can you not feel like a sucker working hard when some dimwit yo can barely pee straight can become a millionaire overnight by constantly having his nose stuck in a electronic device, who are you not to tell your kids then can get plastic surgery and make viral videos and become america’s next top model or idol when there are instant success stories of people who did just that and really didn’t have to work that hard to get to where they are, all day everyday they see it on the computers, iPhone, whatever…

it has really lowered the quality of life…instead of taking the good with the bad and trying to feel good sometimes we obsess about trying to feel good every single second of every single day which in my opinion leads to people never truly being happy ever…

It has become my haters are my motivators, people enjoy being hated and see it as a level of success and respect, like they are being envied…that’s just poor morals.

Am I wrong or should I take some medication and join the zombie ranks?

Nagesh answers:

That is the way the mental health professionals USED to treat patients. There is a new movement now that is treating mental illness Situations do take time to change and nothing happens overnight, but change IS happening. I also was tired of being treated like a patient, over medicated, and treated like a number for my ins $$. No one really wanted to help me feel better, they just wanted my $$. S0o, I signed up for a DIFFERENT mental health center in my area. One that treated people like people. I got a whole new set of DR’s and counselors and friends, and groups and classes. They even feed me lunch when I go there, and they also give me free bus tix. The community resources available to me are endless compared to the other place I was going.

I suggest that if you need meds, take them. BUT -keep control of your own treatment plan. Don’t allow others to make decisions for you. If you think you are over medicated, then SPEAK UP! If you think you do not like something in your treatmnt plan, then tell your DR or counselor. THE SQUEEKY WHEEL GETS THE GREASE! If you aren’t speaking up for your own self, then they WILL run all over you. You just cannot allow this to happen. You have choice! You have a VOICE! Your wellness rests solely on you.

Baby on Board so Wedding Gets the Shaft!? Help!?

I’m getting married to my best friend. We have known one another for 12 years with a lot of great memories as teenagers. We went our seperate ways in our early twenties. I was married but have since divorced. My fiance and I started dating after reconnecting for two years now. He did an amazing job at asking me to marry him on October 2nd of this year. I started planning the wedding right away, one to take place next year. However, three weeks later and we find out we are pregnant! This is amazing news as I have been told I probably would never have children (we even tried fertility treatments last year with no success and have been planning on adopting in a few years).

Now the wedding celebration can still be sometime next year after the baby is born, although money is going to be even tighter than we had first imagined it. I have insurance through my work place but we want to have his insurance from his work be my secondary (so we are double in that area). We know we need to get married to do this and soon so that his insurance will cover us. We have decided to have a quick wedding (and by quick, I’m talking about next week). We already have the date to be married on Monday, Nov. 8th at the court house.

I’ve had my huge wedding with my first husband but this wedding is the wedding I have always dreampt of. Growing up together, we have MANY common friends who I have always dreampt about sharing this day with us. I know it doesn’t matter where we get married, because the end result is the same. I’m marrying the man I love and want to be with forever….and now the man who is the father of my June-to-be-child. It’s truely a gift and I am blessed.

I’m heartbroken because for the little things. It just seems SO rushed, SO unplanned, and SO distant and cold. I wanted so much more for the both of us. Photos with us in his tux and me in my dress, friends, family to be there. But the only time they had at the courthouse is in the middle of the afternoon on a Monday no less. Our parents will be there, but that is it. I just…need advice on how I can make this day stand out a little more and with ease. He works third shift and is actually having to go into work that night. Talk about a honeymoon.

I’m hormonal, I know. And once again, I am so blessed to have this baby and we are doing this for the betterment of the child. I understand this, but I guess I’m just being a girl about it. That, and it’s SO much, SO quick, in a short amount of time. I don’t have cold feet about marrying him, I’m just ridiculously upset on how it’s happening I suppose. At least I know he purposed BEFORE I got pregnant, but still.

Any suggestions!?

My hubby and I did a quicky wedding at the court house just because it was cheaper, I am not a big fan of spending a lot of money for ONE day. We went a few months after we got married, rented a tux and dress and got some pictures taken. I don’t regret it one bit, the important thing is you got to marry the one you love 🙂 We are planning on having a “real wedding” on our 10 yr anniversary where we will renew our vows. That is something you could think about, that will give you plenty of time to save up and have the wedding of your dreams 🙂 Good luck!

Nagesh answers:

You’re making this hard on yourself! Don’t mess with the courthouse. Instead, look through the yellow pages and also place an ad on craigslist, just stating you’re seeking an officiant. It could easily be cheaper than the courthouse. Try to get a Saturday evening, but if not, aim for a weekday evening. Compare rates.

Then check with nice local restaurants and find one that has a private room for you. In most cases, this doesn’t cost anything for the room as long as you meet a food/beverage minimum. Hopefully you could get some invites out and have around 15-20 people. Restaurants love hosting weddings, so I’m sure they’d work with you on letting you bring in flowers, etc. And he can still rent a tux!

If you get going quickly, you might aim for mid-November, and I’d think that’s enough time to pull it together. Then the officiant would conduct the ceremony right there, and you’d be able to have toasts, etc. As long as you don’t get too close to Thansgiving, I’d think people would want to come.

Paul asks…

can you edit this essay if you are better in english?

“Beauty is in the eye of beholder,” is an unknown proverb in contemporary society. It is a simple sentence that does not make sense anymore. Some women, and now many more men, think social interaction and personal success are dependent on physical attraction, and unfortunately, in this society, they are frequently right. Being perfect is a common issue, but when this issue becomes an obsession it can grow into a far more serious mental illness. Plastic surgery is a huge obsession among all people including preteens, teenagers, and adolescents. It is an obsession that is fed by models and celebrities who think nothing of going under the scalpel again and again in an elusive chase after a beauty icon that does not exist. Plastic surgery is not without risk. It is not a healthy way to look perfect. Plastic surgery can affect a person physically, socially and mentally, and it can have many side effects. It is a painful procedure that can even lead to death. There is a five percent death risk for all people who undergo anesthesia, especially general anesthesia, which is used in many cosmetic surgeries (Younai). A young mother, Dehlmalyz Rios, was 26 years old when she decided to have plastic surgery. Two days after the surgery her body rejected the fat that was deposited in her calves. She died, leaving two children behind. Clearly it can ruin the lives of more than just its proponents (Peru 2). Plastic surgery includes cutting, bending, stretching and other methods to manipulate body structure in order to get a desired shape. This causes pain, discomfort, and swelling that may remain for a lifetime. Some side effects, such as physical pain, are permanent. Plastic surgery can cause depression brought on by medication used to control the aftereffects of surgery. Poor and sometimes grotesque results may also bring on depression and other emotional problems. Of course there is always the post-surgical risk of pneumonia from having to remain in bed for long periods of time or as a result of forced inactivity, and there are the risks of infection and human error. Sometimes there are emotional traumas from the surgery not having the desired effect, or the person’s inability to accept, or disappointment with, the modifications. There can also be guilt or bad feelings caused by spouses, relatives, colleague or friends. Cosmetic surgery depends a great deal on the doctor’s qualifications. There are doctors who offer surgery at very low prices who are not skilled or qualified to perform plastic surgery. Most of these doctors are untrained except for a seminar in a hotel for a few hours. Credentials aren’t checked so that people who may not even be doctors are allowed to take these seminars.
In Miami, a doctor named Reinaldo Silvestre, practiced surgery in a small office. He had very little medical training. One of his patients, named Alexandra Baez, claimed that he gave him breast implants instead of the pectoral muscle implant that he had requested (CNN). Many doctors who are performing plastic surgery are not licensed by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons. They are quacks, get-rich-quick surgeons, who perform as many surgeries as they can and often under less than sterile conditions (Odenthal).
Cosmetic surgery is not for everyone. This doesn’t prevent people from seeking it. Plastic surgery costs thousands of dollars and usually requires a good deal of recovery time. Some people sacrifice their basic needs to save enough money to pay for the surgery. There are those who say that plastic surgery should not be used to change someone’s appearance for the sake of vanity. Sometimes plastic surgery taken to the extreme can make someone look less than human, as is the case with Michael Jackson. People make fun of him, but he is wealthy enough that it doesn’t seem to affect his life.

But what about the person who is not wealthy or what if a celebrity and the surgeon go wrong in making decisions? The surgeon may say he or she is sorry, but the surgeon can just walk away. The patient has to live with the awful results. But whether the surgical effects are deemed a success or failure, both the surgeon and the patient are responsible the surgery and the other performed it. With everything there is good and bad. Plastic surgery is no exception.
Cosmetic surgery can make someone feel better about their looks, which may lead to an improved life. And certainly cosmetic surgery to repair birth defects, burns, and scars is a boon. But people need to realize that looking like a Hollywood star isn’t necessarily going to change your life or make you happier. They need to understand that things can and do go wrong with plastic surgery and the decision to have plastic surgery shouldn’t be taken lightly. Because when you get right down to it, beauty IS in the eye of the beholder.
Plastic surgery is a risk that is undertaken with both sorrow and pleasure. Before making a decision, a person must consider risks such as unexpected costs, untrained surgeons, and physical pain during and after surgery. People should not be taken in by how inexpensive a surgery is; rather, they should be concerned about the most important thing of all: life. Plastic surgery is preferable for people who don’t have other options, but it is not the best way to look like those Hollywood models and celebrities.

Chris asks…

I just need opinions,?

now my life isn’t terrible, but like everyone I have my issues. My father and I have never had the greatest relationship. We just don’t talk, the odd time we do talk we are at each other throats (sometimes literally). I am 17 and for the last 4 years ive been into the drugs, the drinking, the sex. but over the last year i have taken it upon myself to turn things around. things got really bad with my family for a while. constantly getting kicked out from 14-16, parents have called the police on me numerous times to take me away. so far the police havent had any reason to take me away. and have reminded my parents that i am their child and their responsibility, and need to try and work things out. once i hit 16 they were constantly reminding me “legally we CAN kick you out now” my parents never wanted to take the time to see why i was acting the way i was. they will look at other families and judge them comment on how the parents dont see how their parenting skills are affecting their kids. some of my friends will come over. some have many issues, and i will say something like “yea shes been having alot of troubles lately with her drinking” or something like that and right away she will say “well look at the fmaily she comes from no wonder the kid is the way she is”. what im trying to point out is that they are quick to judge other families and are always criticizing other parents but never take a step back and think about what maybe they are doing wrong as parents. I feel that calling your daughter a drug addict, high school drop out (i did not drop out i transfered to an alternative school, which i am doing very well in, 88% average), family fuck up. my father thinks i have a hidden agenda, and that i am trying to corrupt the family, and that i use my manipulation skills to turn the world against him. and honestly yes teenagers can be evil, but i have more to worry about than fucking my dad over. last january i asked for family counceling. they declined and said that i needed counceling. and they shouldnt have to waste there time because i have problems. so i went to the schools social worker and asked for help. finally got help after a few months. now i have given up drugs (coke, perscription drugs, ecstacy, ketamine….so on), given up certain friends and have lost some of the most important people in my life in the process. they still go on about how i will never change, how i will never be good enough, how i deserved to be dumped by my abusive boyfriend. how my home isnt my home its theres and if i want to stay there i have to follow their rules. I cook, i clean, i see a psyciatrist, family therapist, who both say that i am doing very well and are both impressed that i was the one who asked for help with the family. My life could be worse, but im just not happy. not with myself, my family, my friends. and i have been looking for a way out for a while. its hard to make enough money to support yourself at 17 and still going to school. i just want to be somewhere where people are constantly talking down to me and appreciate how hard i try and support me. i have no where to go. and talking to therapists doesnt always help. so i guess this was just kind of a rant. but im always being told by my family that i am wrong. i dont get opinions from my friends cuz i dont trust them enough to ask. i just feel like i need someone other than a therapist to tell me that im not worthless, im not a drug addict, im not fucking my whole family over, and im just not an all around terrible person.

Nagesh answers:

Wow. Im sorry. My lif isnt nearly as bad as yours seems to be but i undertand the feeling of just wanting everyone to know 🙂 i rant online all the time. Im sorry to hear about how your family treats you. Let me be one to congradulate you on quitting drugs. That must have been really hard for you. If your parents are threatening to kick you out, my advice would be to leave on your own. To let them know that you dont need them around to live. If you have nowhere to go, maybe you have a close friend to stay with for a while? I sincerely hope that you can overcome all this. If your parents are having judging issues, and you and your dad are at eachothers throats, why not while youre arguing make a point to tell him how you feel. Then when he cools off enough to think straight, grab a beer, and relax, he might actually think about the things you screamed at him 🙂 i hope you can find a way through this. Good luck
