Your Questions About Fast Money Making Ideas For Kids

Mandy asks…

What are some online jobs a disabled teen can do?

I can type very fast & use a phone, also.

I don’t have the transportation to go to a normal job place.
Ah, yes. I use a wheelchair.

Nagesh answers:

Are you in need of money immediately, or are you looking for long term salary?

Short term – contact your local printers and see if they know anyone that can use your typing services. Sure, you can do student papers, except you are a student, right? That kind of goes with your schedule is the same schedule as the students who need papers done, and you need to sleep at night. (Typing student papers is for someone who doesn’t mind staying awake all night and it doesn’t affect the day time job. Lol)

Put an ad in your weekly shoppers paper for typing services, but you have to know what you’re doing before you start. I’ve done it. There are a lot of wackos out there and you’re letting some of them into your house. (My hubby is very big and scary looking – he’s a sweety, but he’s so big he’s scary looking, if you don’t know him – so I was safe. Lol) You can actually make very good money typing at home on your own, but you have to treat it like a real business, do all the corporation business stuff, get ready for the taxes issues, know how to charge, learn how to market, and learn how to use the money you get to reinvest in the business to make it profitable.

You can also make good money doing other stuff too, but it takes a lot of effort and 6-18 months before it becomes profitable. (I’m not saying you make no money in that time, but the money you make has to go back into the business to make it profitable.) You can make a blog or website that’s profitable, or learn SEO, or learn how to make web pages or learn how to write short articles for companies looking for articles for their blogs and/or websites. All that stuff is like typing at home, you have to learn how to do it, learn how to treat it like a business…and all the other stuff I wrote before.

Or, you can do the make phone calls at home for the hope of commission, too. That one depends on what you’re voice sounds like (and you need your own separate line.) If you have a kid’s voice, no one will use you. If you have a mature voice, call your local real estate offices and see if you can cold call to sell houses. (Again, you have to learn how to do it, before doing it.) No, seriously. Not kidding. One of hubby’s coworkers did that and every time he found someone willing to sell their house by cold calling, when the real estate people sold the house, he got a 2% commission. Do the math. Few houses cost less than $100,000. Most cost more. 2% of $100,000 – $2,000. (Did you just do the obvious and decide to focus on houses worth a million? Lol That’s the idea. Find the big buck houses and you get paid a better commission. Lol)

Or, if you’re moral compass allows for it, there is also those sex lines. That’s done from the woman’s own home, and they pay really well. (I would have been good at it, but it is against my beliefs to do it. Lol)

But, you want to work at home with the abilities you have now. The reason I know how to do a small fraction of this kind of stuff, is because I was willing to research it myself and figured out what I’d do with the info. You have to, too.

Carol asks…

How to be a kid millionaire or entrepreneur?

I am a very determined 16 year old and I am going to college next year for business. ( I skipped a grade). I am very interested in building my own business. I was wondering if anyone could tell me about people like Kira Plastinina, and people like that who make so much money. How do they get noticed? Just have rich parents?

Nagesh answers:

Good for you!!! I love to see teens who are so focused. Starting now is really going to give you an advantage. I wasn’t a kid millionaire but I built my businesses from the bottom up and I can tell you what I did.

The very first thing is to find a need and fill it. Something that is a trend will make fast cash but is very risky. Too many fail but you don’t hear much about those. Go with something for the long term. At least semi long term as you have to keep up with marketing trends.

Your SBA (small business administration) should have tons of info to get you started and may even offer free classes. If not, the classes don’t cost that much. See if your parents can finance that for you as you definitely need to know some of the basics. You’re a smart girl and can take what you learn and research further on your own.

Then start your research as to who will be your target market and what the demographics are for the location you want to target. You need to start working on a business plan and the SBA will help you with that too. You can take your plan to them and they will go over it and help you improve it.

Then you look for investors and/or funding. This is tricky. It depends on what you want to do. If you have an item that isn’t on the market, you need to get it copyrighted first, then start researching a patent. That can be expensive and it’s usually where people stop. Apply for a patent so you have patent pending rights. Don’t use one of those commercial companies that promise to get patents for you. It’s a waste of money. You will need to find someone to research the patent though eventually.

There is other funding available too. Hit the library for the best help. Private investors are out there but they will want to take control of your business. You may have to let them for a first business in order to learn from their expertise. Private investors will only go with a sure thing so if you get one (or more) then you know you hit on something.

However, there is other funding to be had and so you will need to research all resources to see what criteria you fit. I did not have rich parents or much cash but it can be done. The first rule in business is you never invest your own money. It’s worked for some but that’s the fastest way to lose it too. You have no way of knowing if you will get a return. If you have other sources of funding, they aren’t going to give it to you unless they think you have a great chance of succeeding.

Then you can take your item to trade shows where companies go around and look at new items. Find the shows in trade journals related to your item. You need to set up a really nice presentation and work your behind off getting contacts. Be really outgoing and talk to everyone. Print up your own business cards to save money and hand those out to everyone. Then ask for theirs. You will need to make follow up calls and letters to those you think might be able to help you.

Unless you have the money or can find the investors, your best bet is to sell off your mfg rights to someone else. Then you need a lawyer to negotiate for you. Get the highest price. With that money, you can work on your next project and look for mfg yourself.

If you have an item that you can produce yourself, such as an online business, then you can skip some of those steps. But first go to the SBA and get their help. It will be invaluable to you. And good luck! I shouldn’t say luck. Lol It takes knowing what people need, coming up with something to fill that need, developing the idea, and working as hard as you can. Believe in yourself and don’t give up. My first two businesses failed ( from lack of planning and know-how, I let others take my ideas and they ran with them) but I now own 3 and want to start 2 more. The ideas just keep coming but I abandon 100 times as many.

Edit: If you plan to go into anything like fashion or jewelry or accessories, it helps immensely if you can get a well-known person to wear your item. This takes a lot of grit unless you know someone. You can’t just write to magazine editors, they get 1,000s of these kinds of letters and you will waste too much money sending free products. Try smaller like radio stations. Get to know the people there. They might now someone or be affiliated with a larger station. Try to get invited to parties, promotions, etc. As a teen, you would make a good story so go with that angle and try to get interviews on radio and in newspapers. Hopefully a larger station will pick it up. Then you will have the opportunity to meet some well-known people and ask if they would consider your item as a gift. Never just flat out ask if they would wear it. You put them on the spot and make them uncomfortable. If they like it, they WILL wear it. If they don’t, then it’s back to the drawing board. If no one is wearing your item or wants to use them, get their feedback as much as possible so you can fix any issues.

Edit2: There’s so much I could tell you but it would take me much longer than this. But I’m trying to hit the biggest points. If you have an item that can be sold in stores, try the smaller stores first. Family owned businesses or one-owner ones. Ask if you can consign a few of your items. If they sell, they will want more. Once you have a few months track record, you can take that to larger stores. Ask for the buyers. Present your product and your sales reports. Again ask if you can either consign a few or if they will buy them outright. And again if they sell, they will want more. Then you keep moving up. In that way, someone WILL notice your products and want to get in on the action. This is where you have to be very careful and not sign away your business if there is a chance you can do it on your own. You need a lawyer to help you with this part. On the otherhand, you can’t have your business stop right there either. So there is always some risk. That’s the fun part for me.

Donald asks…

What is a good amount of money to take to Gatlinburg TN?

My wife want’s to take me to Gatlinburg TN next year, and I have never been there before, so I want to make it enjoyable. I know what amounts to take to the beaches, but a place like Gatlinburg, I am not sure. Lets say I would be there a week. Any ideas. Do not include the amount for a Chateau of Hotel. Just spending money.

Nagesh answers:

We were there last year. Depending on your spending habits it can range from $50 per day to the sky’s limit. I took a group of high school kids, and told their parents to plan on $50 per day to eat. Make sure you check out Best Italian…it is definately the best Italian food I have ever had! Their rolls are awesome!

Do a search on Gatlinburg to see what all attractions are there and see what you are interested in so you will have some idea what you want to carry with you!

YOU ARE IN FOR A TREAT!! BUT BEWARE…Everything there is uphill…bothways! Hehe!

Like any tourist attraction, dining ranges from fast food to fine dining…it just all depends!

Sandra asks…

How does a dog feel about being neutered?

I looked at other questions and all the answers are benefits for the owner not the animal. Neutering an animal so they lose some aggression, make him behave better for US, not make territory, and so on are all things to make it better for us! I love my pup so much and don’t want him to be any different. Can I get him a vasectomy so he still has a sex drive and can function but not get a female pregnant?

Nagesh answers:

I get my dogs fixed but I don’t have them neutered, I have the vet do a vasectomy. If they want they can still mate with a femae dog but can’t get her to have puppies.

Most owners get them neutered to ‘calm them down’ and make them stop marking aside from so they can’t have puppies.

I’ve seen nautered dogs who are nuts and dogs who aren’t neutered who are very layed back. As to marking if you train your dog well an unneutered dog wont pee on everything, I’ve seen many a neutered dogs who pee on everything.

Don’t get your dogs bits chopped off, get him a vasectomy it’s also safer for the dog and a much shorter stay in the way of beeing knocked out, and the dog will be running around an healed much faster.

There are far to many unwanted puppies in the world but that doesn’t mean dogs don’t want to be able to mate still. It’s like saying that people who don’t want kids should have the husband cut his off.

The first time I see a guy have his cut off so they don’t get their wife knocked up will be when I allow the idea of cutting off a dog’s to be ok.

With the right training any dog can be a wonderful dog get him into two or three basic classes at your local kennel club, normally around $60 for eight one hour a week classes.

Many people just don’t train their dog and are lazy so anything like the idea of neutering their dog to make it so they don’t have to spend the time nad money training it is a good idea to them.

Betty asks…

Any cool sewing ideas for a Home Ec class?

I have some ideas in mind such as pajama pants and some basic quilting using recycled jeans. But if you can think of anything cool, please share your ideas!
I am the teacher.
Oh, and at this point of the game, I choose what they make, as well as all the material.

Nagesh answers:

EDITED TO ADD: So what are your goals for this class? Process or product? Do you want them to be able to follow a commercial pattern, or is it more of a design and engineering mindset? What’s the ethos of your school (lots of community service or more traditional sewing for yourself?) How long do you have them for?

Right now in my area of the world, remodeling jeans and t-shirts, trimming basic tote bags and adding ipod pockets to everything seems to be hot, judging by the questions the local kids ask me.

If vests are in (and I never know), a simple lined vest is only a couple of hours for the beginners I’ve taught if I teach them commercial bagged lining methods. The fusible interfacing is what gives them the biggest problems. (Try Connie Crawford’s Guide to Fashion Sewing for the instructions). A thrift shop sportcoat or blazer usually has enough salvageable shell fabric and lining for a vest at a reasonable cost.

Crawford also has her new “Studio Sewing Skills” dvd out, with a student packet of materials for basic techniques
http://www.butterick.com/item/CC770.htm??tab=connie_crawford&page=2
http://www.butterick.com/item/CC771.htm??tab=connie_crawford&page=3

Students at at least two of the local high schools have to complete X hours of community service — some of the local students sew lined, drawstring stockings for the Fill A Stocking project, and three students made over a hundred zippered duffles for local foster kids (and they got really good at setting sport zippers and pocket zippers!).

Have you looked at Nancy Restuccia’s book, Hold it! It’s out of print but available in CD form now, but it’s also common library fodder. She has a number of interesting bags with instructions written in plain English. You can get a sample of her writing style here in the classic tote: http://www.make-it-easy.com/opentot2.html Her Humbug Bag is very fast, and you could teach the actual quilting process with it easily by quilting before construction. I think I know Nancy well enough to say that if you wanted to use that pattern, it could be made available on favorable terms.
(Humbug bags, btw, in the smallest sizes, make great Christmas tree ornaments). If I catch a couple of the kids around here who sew I’ll try to find out from them what other things are hot right now in this area.

I know that supply money is often tight for some students — have you considered making needs known to local ASG groups or quilt guilds? I’ve cleaned out a lot of old stash to local schools — all of the zippers in the duffles came from a local jobber offering a grocery sack of sport zippers for $1

——–
Are you the teacher, or the student? I’m from the era when (if there was home ec and shop), everybody had to take a semester of each. The guys I knew got to make cool stuff like tents and sleeping bags, and the women had to make aprons and skirts. :-p

So… Whaddya want to make? Stuff for yourself or stuff for someone else? Fancy socks? Backpacks? Totes? Fishing vests? Project Linus quilts? Heartwarmer coats? Tactile balls for preschoolers? Stuffed animals for the local cops to give stressed-out little kids? Big totes for foster kids who otherwise wind up carrying their posessions in garbage bags?

Your Questions About Quick Ways To Make Money For Kids

Mandy asks…

What is the best way to learn how to properly do a boxing workout?

I’m interested in working out like a boxer would (with the punching bags and etc). I am not interested however in joining a class to learn how too. So I was wondering what is the best way to learn at home? Is there work out videos or even books that anyone could recommend? Also any recommendations on what type of equipment I will need as a beginner?

Nagesh answers:

It’s not fair, but it’s true.

You may be among the most qualified fitness professionals. But that doesn’t always translate to being among the best paid.

In fact, many fitness professionals and personal trainers — less educated and deserving than you — may be doing much better.

If you already know this, but thought you just were not “equipped” to make the money you deserve, then I have some very important news.

In today’s competitive fitness market, only trained, savvy fitness professionals earn the major dollars. The rest scrape by — barely.

There is an art to being a top-paid fitness professional … To programs that have high-paying clients come to you … To the systems, strategies, and “tools” that bring in new clients … And we can share the secrets of that art with you!

The Boxing Fitness Institute will now let you in on one of the hottest trends in fitness, where demand for qualified trainers is huge, and wealthy clients are willing to pay you handsomely for your time.
And now you can join in the FUN and INCOME even if:

1. Even if….You are completely new to the fitness industry, or just thinking about getting started.
2. Even if….You currently offer the same old, generic weight lifting and aerobic-style programs that everyone else offers.
3. Even if….You hate to sell and market.
4. Even if….You don’t have marquee “Hollywood-style” clients.

None of that matters.

In fact, you need NO SPECIAL BACKGROUND … Virtually no money to put at risk … Only a little bit of time … And the willingness to follow very easy-to-understand instructions.

And when we say this is THE quickest and easiest way for you to succeed as a fitness professional and attract all the clients you can handle, we’re not kidding about that either, because…

What we’ve discovered about succeeding as a fitness professional and making more money than your colleagues is that it’s all about…

A Unique In-Demand Fitness Program and a Proven Marketing System

These two keys are a miraculous money-making strategy because:

1. Clients come to you, because they want to get in shape with your specialized program.
2. You set yourself apart as the “go-to” fitness professional in your area.
3. People refer you to others even if they haven’t hired you yet, because what you do is so unique and interesting.
4. Marketing is easy, and takes little or no money.
5. There are no sales pitches to make.
6. You enjoy attracting people to your business, and work becomes more FUN and SATISFYING.

Ken asks…

How much work and money does it cost to have a horse?

I have 3 young kids (under 10) who would like a horse. They have all ridden horses and love them very much. I would just get them riding lessons or lease someone else’s horse part time, but no place has any openings. I have thought about purchasing a small horse and having it barned at someone else’s stable; however, how much does that normally cost? Do full service barns provide enough attention for a horse? I would love a horse and have always wanted one, so would my children; however, I don’t think we could give it nearly the attention it needs.. am I wrong? Are horses content with just being around other horses? Thanks.

Nagesh answers:

Please please please dont get a horse for young kids under 10.
They will more than likely lose interest after a few years or after the novelty has worn off, and if they get them they have to be expected to care for them properly, and this is a serious amount of work, if you cant find anywhere to keep them and look after them you do realise you will have to be there to take care of them at around 7am every morning to clean out their stables, feed them, groom them, fresh water, let them out if necessary, take them out for exercise, check them for any medical issues everyday, this is a huge amount of work alone and a huge cost, the equipment, vets bills for horses are extremly expensive, even the basic vaccinations cost alot, upkeep, the food, new riding gear for your kids, insurance etc etc.
The cost usually varies depending on how much the person wants to charge, my family kept horses at our stables and we charged upwards of 300 a month to look after them, and this was a few years ago.
Horses are content being around other horses, however they need the attention from their owners aswell, just like dogs, they need regular exercise, something they dont get with other horses in a field, they need grooming care everyday to prevent lice, matting etc.
Horses are a tremendous amount of work and effort and cost.
You would be much better off waiting until they are older and more able to take on some of the responsibility of caring for the horse themselves, i dont know how many riding lessons they have taken but for safety reasons i would say that it is sensible for them to have alot of experience around horses before getting one, i know some places offer volunteer openings during the summer, or if u have to pay that extra more for riding lessons it would be in the long run alot more effective.

And to the girl above, horses cannot be trained to stay in any set area without a fence, or if you know a way to do that, sell it and make millions and ponies are fine but turn into big 600lbs horses real quick, the smaller horses [shetlands] would be fine until your kids start to get too big for it then.

Mary asks…

How would a breakfast diner/pizzeria do in a college town?

Breakfast would be served extra quick and at a much higher quality than Denny’s and the price would be fairly low. The pizza would be new york style or chicago and mostly sold by the slice because you can make more money that way and college kids only want a slice or two. I can also sell wings, strombolis, and subs. Can this make me rich?

Nagesh answers:

Sounds like a restaurant that would be perfect for a college town. The thing is, you have to keep the prices low because students are generally poor. That mean that in order to make a profit you have to keep your costs down. Keep decorations and electricity at a minimum. Hire students, who really need the money and will accept minimum wage. The location and rent of that location is extremely important. You want it to be close to campus or dorms, where students need food to be fast and affordable. Unfortunately, this is probably where the rent is going to be higher.
All in all, sounds like a good idea. Don’t know if it will make you rich, though. Just plan well before you plunge in.

Carol asks…

what is the quickest way to pay of a £50.000 mortgage at age 64?

Part time teacher. Forced to retire at age 65.No children. Still of good health. Selling house planned, but now reluctant to do so. Is there another way?

Nagesh answers:

I’m going to assume the house is worth a lot more than 50k .. If so, various ‘equity release’ schemes exist … I would NOT suggest this to anyone who wants to leave any sort of inheritance to their kids, however it may be suitable for you …

It generarally involves selling your house to an Insurance Company (for less than half of what it’s worth) in exchange for the right to stay in the house untill you die … (at which point the Insurance Co. Gets the house) ..

Various ‘varations ‘ exist – in some schemes (I would call them scams) you take out a (high interest) lifetime mortgage which gives you some extra Pension .. Interest on the Mortgage is ‘rolled up’ and the house is sold when you die to repay the mortgage .. Of couse you have been paying Interest on top of the Interest, so typically there is nothing left …

NB> be carefull of the types that give you money and then charge you Rent .. Not only is the rent ‘upwards only’ (i.e. Increased every year) but when the money runs out you could end up homeless ..

Sandra asks…

How do you save for kids’ college without jeopardizing their chances for scholarships?

Am going through the divorce. Ex agreed to save for the kids‘ college. Only if the accounts are in the kids‘ names, that will disqualify them from many scholarships, right? What’s the best thing to do?

Also – how much do you need to save for college these days? The kids are 9 and 4.

Thanks

Nagesh answers:

First some facts. I have a child who just graduated from high school and who will be attending a private research university this coming Fall. Tuition, room, board, miscellaneous fees, health insurance, etc. Will total over $52,000 for this first freshman year…and I haven’t included in books, Starbucks coffees, etc. Using crude estimating, that means 4 years of college starting in 2008 will cost between $225,000 and $245,000.

Since your kids thankfully won’t be starting college for a few years–it’ll come up on you a lot quicker than you realize! … 🙁 –you need to inflate these expenses year by year. Of course, your kids may choose to go to state universities in a state in which they are residents. That will lower the amount significantly. But, I figured I’d give you a high end estimate. You live in Washington. You can price out the University of Washington for this coming year. The amount I provided you above is close to the amount you would pay if they attended an Ivy institution starting this year.

OK, once you have your Excel spreadsheet with the years they will be attending college and the estimated/projected all-in college costs for those years, then you know what your “worst-case cash needs are”. Now, you have to figure out how much money you have to set aside every month or year to fund those future cash outflows. I will let you do that. Obviously, if your cash outflow were $100 nine years from now, you don’t have to set aside $100. You can set aside less and with the compounded rates of return of your investments, you will have $100 in the nine years.

Today, I think the best vehicles to use for college savings are the 529 plans. If you set up investment accounts in your children’s names with you or your husband as the custodian, the money will be considered your children’s from a financial aid standpoint. That is what I did by mistake. That is bad. You can do that for a while; but, when you are 3 to 5 years away from the first child’s freshman year, convert the money into a 529. The 529 plans were not attractive investment vehicles when they first came out. But, now, I believe they are very interesting. If I were you, I would do the research now and create 529s which you/your husband need to fund on a monthly basis. Keep the annual contributions within the regular gifting maximums. If there are grandparents who want to help, this/these account(s) can be useful for them to funnel their annual gifts into.

At a high level, 529s are attractive for 2 big reasons:
The money is considered the custodian’s/parent’s, not the child’s from a financial aid standpoint. Financial aid computations assume virtually all of your child’s savings should go to college expenses. They do not make that assumption with respect to the parents’ savings. UGMA/UTMA accounts are considered the child’s money. The parent has control over how 529 money is spent. If the eldest child doesn’t want to go to college, the money can be switched over to the younger child. If you saved too much for the eldest child’s education, the balance can go to the younger child’s education, instead of the eldest child’s entertainment… UGMA/UTMA money is treated as the child’s money–subject to different state laws on the age of maturity, 18 or 21. That means if I saved $225,000 for my child’s education in an account in his/her name and s/he says the heck with college, I’m buying a Lambo and heading for Europe, technically the money could be used any way the child chooses. There are ways around this with UTMA/UGMA by not transferring the account authority from custodian to child. The custodian retains access to the account until these papers are filed, meaning that the parent can use the money to pay college bills. But, if the child demands access to these accounts, they are fully able to do so. Go to the College Board website and understand the EFC, or expected family contribution. You obviously don’t have to worry about applying for a long time (whew!), but, sometimes working backwards from the answer is a good way to plan. I gave you links below in the Source section.

Good luck with this. Definitely start NOW. I am not a family law attorney, so I don’t know the implications of a divorce on this other than that if I were divorced, I would want to control the funds. I think a 529 in your children’s names with you as the custodian would be the most desirable. The parents cannot use the money for anything other than well defined education expenses. Your spouse can either contribute to this account, or contribute to an equivalent 529 account in your kids’ names with him as the custodian.

Your Questions About Fast Money Online Paypal

Maria asks…

How can I effectively sell these online?

I have a ton of un-used homeschool curriculum that I need to sell. How can I effectively sell them online for good prices. Like which sites…how to except payments, shipping and stuff like that…
Thanks!

Nagesh answers:

Depends on the type of materials and how much time you want to put into it. Many homeschoolers sell on http://www.eBay.com; selling teacher’s editions there can be a problem but the bidding format helps you to get the best price possible and after you’ve sold a few items, the rating system will help reassure buyers that you aren’t going to cheat them. Others like places such as http://www.vegsource.com on their homeschool forums, or one of the many Yahoo! Groups devoted to buying and selling curriculum where there are no fees for listing but also fewer customers looking and fewer safeguards for buyer and seller. There are lots and lots of sites devoted to buying and selling homeschool curricula. If the curriculum is popular, you might try selling it on websites devoted to that particular curriculum or to methods of homeschooling that favor that curriculum. (Knowing which methods use which curricula can help a lot in finding the best places to sell.)

The more information you include in listings, the more likely a sale. Bare minimum is to include title, grade level, and condition. Including additional information such as author or publisher, summary of the book or list of chapters included or other description of the material will help. Links to reviews can help. Photos of the actual material is good, too. Basically, the more information you include, the more likely buyers are to find the material and decide to buy it. However, including lots of information takes up your time…

Do some research first. Check out the prices that the same (or similar) curricula in similar condition is selling for, so you can price your materials competively. Having a set price for shipping, or even including it in the price, can help the materials sell faster; if you are selling books, media mail is usually the least expensive method of shipping–so check out those prices with the post office.

You’ll want to consider whether to require insurance. Some sellers do, in case items are lost in transit; but it will up your costs which will lose some sales.

You’ll want to consider whether to include tracking. Some sellers do so customers can track the package and so they have proof that they sent the item (or that the person on the other end received it), but again, it causes costs to go up and you’ll have to consider if that is worth it to you or not.

Paypal is one convenient and fast way to accept payments. Money orders or bank checks can work well, too. If you accept personal checks, you’ll want to state upfront that you’ll hold the checks for 7 to 10 days in order to give your bank time to make sure they clear before sending out the merchandise.

Good luck.

Mary asks…

Legit online surveys that will pay through paypal?

I Don’t want to give away my home address or anything, i just want to be paid through paypal. Help Please.

Nagesh answers:

There are several survey sites that are legit, your not going to get rich doing them though. Do not give anyone your SSN there are lots of sites out there that are legit and they do not need this info from you. Nor do you have to pay to join. I am a member of several. I have done survey savy which has a great referral program if you know people who will join you get money for surveys they complete also. They pay by check in the mail. I have also tried American Consumer Opinion. They pay by check in mail for all surveys, but I have not been able to complete many of their surveys. Pinecone is my favorite. You have to have an invitation to join though. They send one or two surveys a month. They are great though cause you will have a few days or a week to answer the survey if you don’t check your email religiously. Then they send a check in the mail pronto (or deposit in paypal). Surveyspot is good too and you can just go to their site everyday and answer surveys you don’t have to wait for them to be emailed to you (I think they do paypal now?).

Most pay a few dollars or less per survey completed so it is best to use several. You also need to be a regular email checker because if you don’t respond to the survey fast enough they have met their quota.

If you would like to give me a referral credit use the link in my profile for survey savvy and the other sites I use are listed there as well. Good Luck!

Lisa asks…

Where can I find a cheap but good set of wood carving tools?

Hopefully I can find them locally ( charlotte nc area ) but if not I can order online. I will be smaller projects and I have not hand carving tools at this time. Some of the prices online for a starter kit are somewhat outrageous… at least to my beginner stand point.

Nagesh answers:

Etsy.com is a fantastic website for people to sell their handmade wares as well as buy supplies for such! I wanted to teach myself how to stamp metal jewelry and found an awesome kit of tools (brand new) on Etsy for dirt cheap. (By the way I received my kit super fast and am VERY happy with it!) They also do not allow people on Etsy to “gouge” with shipping prices and they run a pretty tight ship there. It’s actually a really really refreshing site to buy from after dealing for years with eBay and misc online stores that could be ANYBODY just running of with my money or credit info. Etsy sellers are “governed” by Etsy, have ratings, and accept PayPal as well as some other forms of payment- depending on the seller.

Ruth asks…

How do I transfer money between two bank accounts at different banks, online? Both are in my name.?

Through PayPal??? Is there any other way?

Nagesh answers:

If you have online bill pay you may be able to send an e-check to your other bank account. Just call your branches (not the 800 number) and ask them. They will know the fastest way to do it.

Lizzie asks…

How can a 16 year old boy make money?

Hello, Im 16 and I don’t have a car or a license. I need a way to make money cause im broke and tired of being broke. All job applications have to be online and Im not allowed to sell things on ebay, because I don’t have a paypal. I don’t have any neighbors and Such so no babysitting and mowing. Do you have any ideas on what I can do? Im stuck in a situation and I really need help.

Nagesh answers:

Find businesses that are walking distance (15 minutes) or on a bus route. Grocery stores are great. That’s were I started and get tips for helping people with their groceries. If possible try to avoid fast food restaurants. Also go to employment offices and hiring fairs. At 16 working at a movie theatre would be ideal. Good luck.

Carol asks…

What are some good ways for young tweens/teens to make money?

I need some good ideas for kids to make money. A lemonade stand won’t work. I want something that will attract people to buy or use for. Baby – Sittng might not be best either.

Nagesh answers:

Hi D,

As a teen these days, we need to learn how to be independent, and earning our own money is very good practice for us so we’ll know the importance of self-reliance and the value of money.

Many of us usually look for part-time jobs, especially during summer, to save money for our summer expenses since some parents usually don’t give allowances when there’s no school.

There’s a lot of ways for teenagers to make money and here are 7 that I think are pretty easy:

First way for teenagers to make money is doing work at home for your mom and dad. You can ask your mom and dad if there are certain things or task you can do at home like gardening and cleaning and negotiate it to them on how much the payment will be of you do the job.

Second is a garage sale. If you have lots of stuffs and junks that you don’t anymore like your old books, clothes, toys, comic books, magazines and other stuffs. You can also ask your parent if they have something to sell and make sure to ask permission from them before you sell stuff at home and suggest that you are willing to sell the items with a commission.

Third way for teenagers to make money is selling their own products like their artworks and handcrafted items. If you are good in cooking or baking simple foods, you can also try selling pastries and refreshments.

Fourth way is home-tutoring younger kids. This job may require a good amount of patience since you will be dealing with much younger kids but aside from earning money, you also get to help kids on their lessons.

Fifth way for teenagers to make money is selling stuff online. Teenagers can sell many things online. As I have mentioned from the third way on selling your artworks and handcrafted items, you can also sell them online on famous selling sites like eBay. You can also sell eBooks and articles online if you are very good in writing articles.

Sixth way is taking online surveys. Companies that are providing this job usually do not require age so teenagers can do this job.

Seventh way for teenagers to make money is babysitting. This is a traditional job for teenagers during non-schooling days. You get to earn money by babysitting little babies for a few hours depending on the work requirement you agreed to.

Obviously there are a ton of more ways but hope that gives you a few ideas!

Good luck!

Chris asks…

What are some good jobs to earn money for kids?

Im trying to find a job. I need some ideas of what to do, i cant do baby siting Because im to young the only thing i can think of is dog sitting/ dog walking. Got any ideas?

Nagesh answers:

Take a look at this site http://www.jobs-for-14-year-olds.com/types/

I don’t know how old you are, and it’s probably an American site, but gives you a few ideas!

Many young kids work at – Subway, Mcdonalds, Supermarkets,Target, K-Mart, Gas Station, Movie Theaters, Library, Pizza Places, Small Takeaway shops, KFC, etc

I lived in NZ for years and when I was 11-15 yrs old I would help out a few older people in my street, like washing their windows, a bit of housework, gardening etc….
I also had a couple horses and even sold them bags of manure (horse sh*t) for their gardens!

Also the minimum wage in NZ has just got up to $13 an hour, it doesn’t matter how old you are, you’re lucky !

Good Luck

Sandra asks…

How to plan ahead for wedding and saving money?

I’m 19 and engaged, however we are not planning to marry for a couple of years. Since we have the time, does anyone have any ideas on planning ahead? Any ideas on saving money for the wedding and our life together after the wedding?

Nagesh answers:

I could tell you how to be frugal like me.
How to save the money you have: Stay away from cigarettes! Use cantines instead of buying waterbottles or sodas, try to eat at buffets instead of restaraunts, shop for clothes & furniture at discount stores, use spiral bulbs instead of regular bulbs, when you buy a car buy a small efficient one instead of a truck or SUV, & if you ever build your own house order white roofing instead of the usual dark. Another somewhat frugal habit is using progressive grammar like me (ex & instead of and, 2 instead of two) when you’re writing papers instead of writing everything out.
How to make a little money: Collect cans & other scrap metals & take it up to your local metal recycling place that pays you. If you have any books or DVDs you don’t want anymore sell them to Half Priced Books (but you have to have a drivers license to get paid). When you pass by vending machines look in the coin slots for coins. In my experience 1/10 of them have coins.
If you’re a kid & some of this doesn’t apply to you, saving on electricity still saves your parents money.

I believe that this world would be a much better place if everybody was frugal & I hope I am helping people by answering these questions. If you don’t wanna pick me as best answer then please let me know if my advice has helped you.

Your Questions About Ways To Make Money Fast For Teenagers

Thomas asks…

How can you get a good well paid job without any qualifications?

I am a young 18 year old girl who left school without any qualifications. I dont really want to go any further with my studies. I would just like to find a job that pays well and is not hard to do and you don’t have to use your brain too much. I need the money like real bad so I don’t really have the time to earn any degrees or anything. I just want the job. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Nagesh answers:

To Americans who may be answering: understand that in Britain, qualifications in this context means a high school diploma. I assume the asker is British. She’s saying that she left school without graduating, not that she isn’t qualified for anything.

I don’t know what Britain’s requirements are to get a job. What does it take to clerk in a store, clean hotel rooms, or work in a restaurant? In the States, you can usually get those jobs even if you’re a high school dropout (our equivalent of leaving school without qualifications).

Whether those jobs would be hard to do depends on what’s hard for you. They’re not hard in the same sense that schoolwork can be hard, and they don’t take using your brain in the same way. They do require physical effort. In the case of waiting tables, it takes the ability to think fast, on your feet, and keep track of multiple bits of information flying at you at once. Some people have a knack for that. Others (like me!) just can’t pick it up. How good you are at that has nothing to do with how well you did in school.

For quick cash, you might be able to do odd jobs for people: clean houses, walk dogs, babysit, etc. I don’t know what it takes to set yourself up in business in Britain. In the States, if you do that sort of thing for serious income (not just as a teenager earning a little spending money), there are certain tax requirements, certain forms to file. It would be worth looking into, though.

None of these jobs are likely to make you rich, but if you’re reasonably frugal, you can earn enough to get by. Over time, you can advance in those businesses, perhaps start your own business if you’re enterpreneurial minded. Even if you had gotten your school qualifications, you probably wouldn’t be able to get a high paying job at first without a university degree–you’d have to start somewhat lower and work your way up–so either way, there would be some work to put in before you’re well paid.

Betty asks…

What do you think is the best way to easily lose weight fast?

I’m only a teenager and I’ve always wanted to lose weight because I’d say I’m over 50 pounds over weight and I don’t have enough money in the family to go on a slimfast diet or LA weight loss and i need some ideas of what to do.

Nagesh answers:

It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way we have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) replacing hunger and infectious disease. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin. Not a diet, but diet lifestyle.

Find out about fastest way to lose weight, gradual ways to lose weight, most effective exercise and anti-water. Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter (bloated). Most important– make sure to read the last “fat loss tip”, first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat. Take 5 minutes to read teen advice first.

Michael asks…

What is your personal opinion on taking Adipex for weightloss?

I am considering taking adipex for weightloss. My doctors appointment is tomorrow and I am somewhat nervous about taking them. I really want to lose weight and I have heard that its really good for helping weightloss. But is it worth the money? Does it work? what were your results? side effects? please give me your personal opinions.

Nagesh answers:

Hi,

The fastest way to weight loss is by taking weight loss pills and supplements. But the risks involved with taking diet supplements significantly outweigh the results any person would receive. Most people believe that diet pills and supplements will solved their overweight problems overnight. If you are taking diet pills & supplements to weight loss, the moment you stop taking the pill, your weight will reverse back to where you start and sometime worst or you will be hook to the diet pills in order for you to maintain your idea weight.

I graduated high school at 240 pounds and at 5 foot 3 that made me about as round as I was tall. I was one of those overweight teenagers who ate anything and everything without any regard to the effects it was having on my own body. Therefore, I began the diet pills, which did not work; I ate the special diet foods and even began drinking diet beverages. None of this stuff worked for me, just as it does not work for millions of overweight people. Eating less did not work and I was not one to work out or even get up and do anything remotely related to exercise. I knew I would look silly and it would hurt. I never thought or really cared about the health effects this would have on me, back then.

A year ago after a successful weight loss plan, now at 120 pounds, it is a major difference. I’ve lost 30 pounds in the first month. The most significant change in my life is the amount of energy I now have and the way my clothes fit loosely. Everyone close to me and people I haven’t seen in a while are amazed and tell me that I look really good. This is a life changing experience for me although at first I was skeptical about the weight loss plan.

Our own metabolism system play a vital part in controlling the amount of body fat burned in the process of providing energy to the body. Knowledge about our own metabolism function is the mother to all weight loss programs. With the knowledge you not only reduce your weight but able to maintain an ideal weight and living a healthy life. The weight loss program has proven to be effective in the short and long-term, without need to endure starvation and without any daily athletic workout. (But taking a light exercise every few days is highly recommended). Best of all you can eat what you most enjoyed without gaining any weight The weight loss program is affordable by all and do not need to pay a monthly fees to use it. In contrast to diet pills regime where you need to buy it on a regular basis and you will gain more weight when you stop taking it.

The success has inspired me to help others and i am sure you won’t be disappointed. Get your free “Top Fat Loss Tips” and discover how you can become noticeably thinner in 15 days by eating in a way you’ll actually enjoy.

Mandy asks…

How to get my parents to let me do gymnastics?

I am 11 and want to start gymnastics. But I am already in dance, so my parents won’t let me do gymnastics. I REALLY want to do gymnastics. How can I convince them to let me take gymnastics? And please don’t say quit dance or pay for it yourself. Because i don’t want to quit dance and I don’t have the money for gymnastics. It is a really expensive sport. Not that we can’t afford it. Also they keep telling me gymnastics is a sport where you have to start young at. Is that true?

Nagesh answers:

Ok, first off. No 11 is not too old to start gymnastics, particularly because you are a dancer. Most competitive gymnasts do start somewhere between 4-7 years of age and yes by the time they are 11 they are usually at least level 5-7 competitive gymnasts. For those going to the olympics by 11 they will already be at least level 10 training 28-30 hours a week.

But, lots of people don’t start gymnastics until they are older. Often teenagers and adults and they still become excellent gymnasts, so 11 is certainly not too old. Also dancers tend to progress much much faster when they start gymnastics. A lot of the work you do on beam and floor will be dance and you will already be excellent at it. Also your dance will have given you strength, flexibility and coordination. So you should progress very quickly.

If you want to do to the olympics or even get a college scholarship then yes you left it too late. But if you want to learn some awesome skills, and become a successful gymnastics competitor then you can do it with no problem.

Gymnastics is not an expensive sport at the recreational level. Dance is generally much more expensive than gymnastics. Gym only becomes expensive when you start competing and start having to train many many hours a week and go in expensive competitions. When you start you will be in beginners classes and it will only be once a week and won’t cost a lot.

If you want to convince your parents talk to them about letting you have a try at gymnastics. Ask them if say for a term you could do it once a week as well as your dance just to see if you like it. That way at the end of that term you will know if you want to stick to dance or do gymnastics. They may think thats fair and let you do it. And then you never know, at the end of the term they may decide that it wasn’t so bad and you can do both.

If you want to get to a higher level of gymnastics though you will struggle with dance. I don’t know how often you dance but I am assuming at your age you are at the dance studio 3-4 days a week. The problem is that to compete in gymnastics you will need to be in the gym just as many days. On average it is – Level 4 – 9-12 hours a week. Level 5 12-16 hours a week. Level 6 – 14-18 hours a week. Level 7 16-20 hours a week. Level 8 – 18-24 hours a week. Level 9 – 20-26 hours a week. Level 10 – 22-30 hours a week. Elite 25-40 hours a week. Basically this kind of schedule does not work with a busy competitive dance schedule.

Ruth asks…

Is there a safe way for a teenager to loose weight in a matter of weeks?

I have a 14 year old daughter who is wanting to loose weight before school starts. I was just wondering if there was a fast and safe way for her to do this. She is wanting a smaller tummy and upper thighs.

Nagesh answers:

Before you start a diet and exercise program read the following articles:
http://teenadvice.about.com/cs/bodyimage/bb/teendieting.htm
http://www.webmd.com/content/article/101/106227.htm

The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:

*1) Burn more calories then you’re consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity minus the Thermic Effect of Food (TEF). A website that explains this formula in more detail and will help you determine how many calories you need to reach or maintain a certain weight is at http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/library/weight/calsburned.htm

Get an online, desktop, or cell phone diet and fitness calculator. This will allow you to easily calculate the above formula, set goals, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.

Set realistic goals for your ideal body weight. Here are two websites that will calculate a suggested body weight:
Adults: http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm
Teens/Children: http://www.kidshealth.org/kid/exercise/weight/bmi.html

It is difficult and unhealthy to lose more than one or two pounds per week. There are 3,500 calories in a pound. If you eat 500 fewer calories per day for a week you will lose one pound. If you burn through exercise 500 more calories per day for a week you will lose one pound.

Here are two articles on how to break through a weight loss plateau:
http://www.webmd.com/content/article/86/99147.htm
http://www.webmd.com/content/pages/18/102117.htm

*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.

Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as potatoes) and drink lots of water. Read this article for more information on high GL Carbs:

*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.

*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”. A reputable test you can take to measure your biological age is at http://realage.com
Look at all areas where you can enhance your health. For example, make improvements in the quality of the air you breathe. Review outdoor air quality forecasts where you live and get an indoor air purifier.

Your Questions About Real Money Making Schemes

Nancy asks…

What kind of corruption could happen at an investment bank?

This is all book related..one of the characters in my book, his father owns an investment bank and his dad is in trouble with the law. but I don’t know what could happen at his bank to make him go to jail? What kind of corruption usually happens. thank you

Nagesh answers:

Gambling leads to embezzlement and then rack and ruin and it has been done a million times. Either that or he is keeping a girlfriend on the side in a penthouse which has been done a million times also. There has been so much real corruption at banks, I doubt there is something original you could come up with. The mortgage and loan scandals, the selling of worthless financial instruments, the outright greed, the spending of clients money on lavish birthday parties, the creation of phony investment schemes, the ponzie schemes. I think if you wrote about an honest banker that would be a real fiction.

Chris asks…

I am a stay at home mom and want to make extra income from the internet.?

I am interested in reading advertisements and getting paid for that. Is there a real job that I can actually do that and get paid that is not a scam?

Nagesh answers:

If you want to make money online – you should make it your self, creat a real web site and accept credit cards then sell any new product(s) or service, you can make extra easy money by ads in your site.
3 steps to create your own web site
1-you need a domain name.
2-you need a web hosting.
3-Design your site.

(step1)
Your Domain Name is your address on the Web. Just like people use your phone number to call you on the phone, your Domain Name allows people to access your site on the Web. Clever, simple, or easy to remember Domain Names are most desirable as they can play a large part in attracting visitors to your site. Most Domain Names end with “.com” (such as Hostgool.com), but other extensions such as “.net” and “.org” are also available. In addition Domains can be used with your e-mail accounts allowing you to send and receive e-mail with addresses such as “support@yourcompany.com”

To Register your domain name or to know if your domain name available, Simply use this link http://www.hostgool.com/domain.htm

(Step 2)
To have a Web site on the Internet you first need to have a Web server. Unfortunately, owning a Web server can be very costly and requires technical expertise that most businesses don’t have. This is where Web Hosts come in. Web hosting companies provide the equipment and other technical resources that you need without the headaches that come when you have to do it yourself.
Think of a Web Host as the landlord of building. A landlord rents out storefronts to various businesses. Each business decorates and runs their store differently, and doesn’t worry about the maintenance of the building. In a similar way a Web Host rents out space on a Web server, (or entire Web servers), to various businesses. Each business builds his or her own Web site and never has to worry about the maintenance of their Web server.
In other words, the Web Host provides the place on the Internet where your Web site lives. And you don’t have to hire the technical staff to take care of it, you can simply do this here http://www.hostgool.com/shared.htm

(Step3)
The easiest way for a novice to build a web site is to start with a web template. Web Templates can be customized and you can use the layout but swap the graphics etc…. This will get you comfortable with basic HTML design and an HTML editor (like Dreamweaver).

Here are some resources for free or inexpensive templates that are easy to edit and manage.

Webmaster Templates – http://www.webmaster-templates.net
Free Web Templates – http://www.freewebtemplates.com/
Web Design Elements – http://www.webdesign-elements.com
Free Website Templates – http://www.freewebsitetemplates.com/
Free Layouts – http://www.freelayouts.com/
Free Templates Online – http://www.freetemplatesonline.com

HTML website templates can significantly ease the burden of designing and creating websites by providing webmasters with a ready-made web layout, structure, basic graphics, and color scheme.

The templates can generally be edited and customized with any HTML editor. The biggest advantage for webmasters using ready-made templates is the amount of time that can be saved

Laura asks…

What will it take to open the debate on man made global warming?

http://www.thestar.com/News/article/246027

NASA had to admit that 1980 wasn’t the hottest year after all when someone else check the numbers.

I know you liberals dismiss the whole article because you see the R word in it but time to start asking how sure are they about this man-made global warming?

Please remember the 06 hurrican season was going to be the end of us than that didn’t happen now it was suppose to be the 07 hurrican season and that hasn’t happen.

The other day they said they didn’t factor in enough for water so they said the real heat up will begin in 09 maybe.

Time to end the poltics and get the real people who study climate to get together and come up with a clear understanding of what is going on.
Also anyone making money off of it one way other the other should be dismiss too that does include Al Gore.

Nagesh answers:

First, It would require meteorological globophobes to have an open mind.
Then we need to understand many scientific studies are funded by political bodies with an agenda and not take studies funded by one source(UN) as the “gospel” like the Y2k crap.
Unfortunately, When Speaker Pelosi said “the debate on global warming is over” the enviro-tax crusade motor went into overdrive.
There is a lot of money and power to be had in the name of global warming and all those scientists and politicians need more funding.
I doubt there will be any serious debate. Just bans, taxes, and elite passes(carbon credits). You and I will foot the bill so our elite can keep the limos, jets, and multiple mansions they are accustomed to while the scheme will be no more effective than Kyoto.

Looking for work at home jobs that are “real” Im not looking to get rich but I’d like to know if there are any

Like I said Im not looking for a get rich scheme. I’d really like to work from home though. Ive tried looking for information on dropshipping and selling through e-bay but Im not sure what to trust out there. Does anyone work from home love what they do and have some advice for me?

Nagesh answers:

Yup, I love what I do! I’ve been doing in home spa parties since January and it’s been really great for my family and I. Like you said, get rich schemes are not very realistic, and this is certainly a business you have to put some work into. I make an average of $400 or more if I put more time into it.

The parties are FUN and take about 2 hours. I go to a home, set the spa experience up, and everyone gets to treat their hands and do a 4 step pedicure treatment. Everyone adores the parties and I have no troubles getting bookings that suit my schedule. Plus, because it is a small but quickly growing company, there isn’t really any competition for what I do out there!

If you’re interested, check out the sites below and then email me at sabrina@spagirlparties.com. I can email you more info, no strings attached. 🙂 I know what it’s like to need the extra money, and because I actually really enjoy what I do I’d like to share the info! (And fyi, I have never ever considered any other company that does parties… I found this one and something told me to try it – it’s been so fabulous for us!)

Mary asks…

How can we increase opportunities for disabled people to actively participate in public and community life?

Disabled people represent 20 per cent of the population but have a particularly low representation in public appointments – currently an average of around three per cent across England, Scotland and Wales.

Only six per cent of all volunteers are disabled people.

The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) does not cover volunteering, and schemes such as Access to Work are not available for public or civic appointments.

Real or perceived disincentives in the benefits system prevent significant numbers from contributing to society in ways other than paid employment.

Central Government initiatives to promote ‘active citizenship’ have tended to characterise disabled people principally as beneficiaries, rather than untapped contributors.

Nagesh answers:

The work place could accommodate the disabled with what they need such as a special chair or desk or what ever they need. Ramps could be installed so they can get into and out of buildings. Shorter hours could make it easier for those in constant pain to be able to tolerate a few hours of work and maybe working every other day to recuperate after working. The government could pay part of the wage for six months to encourage employers to hire them. When the employers see that their work is good they would be willing to take over the full salary. Transportation could be provided for them so they could be productive in society. All of this would cut down on disability payments thereby saving the government money in the long run.

Nagesh answers:

Im a big runescape fan I’ve played for years so i will give you some tips. Wodducutting is slow at first but once your lv is high you can cut yews.
Fishing and cooking. Fishing and cooking are my favorite Once you get a high enough fishing lv you can fish sword fish which a full inventory is worth alot. Cooking get your cooking lv up and you can cook raw lobsters and sell them on the edge of the wild or near demons in high lv training combat.

If you have anymore questions add chefskitchen or sir james689 thats me

Ruth asks…

runescape money making?

best way making money for members?

Nagesh answers:

There are many ways of making money, yet so few are good. Now you may not be making millions with these methods, I hope these tip’s help.
1.Try either picking or buying flax then making it into bowstring.
2.Harvest unicorn horns and sell.
3.If you have EXTREME patience with annoying people, and your strong enough, try killing dragons then getting hides and bones. This is very fast way to make a lot of money.
4. Don’t mine for a lot of money till AT LEAST coal. Still not much money there.
5.Fishing lobsters doesn’t work that much anymore because it is F2P(free to play) method.
6.This earns good exp for MEDIUM lvs. NOT HIGH lvs. The money is okay for low lv monster killing. Kill banshees.
You need earmuffs, and you need to have access to Canfis territory. Go to the slayer tower past the crawling hands.
7. This is a hard method, but sit at a general store and wait for people to sell there valuable things then buy, and resell at GX(Grand Exchange) for profit. This is harder then it used to be because of the GX.

Try posting on forums and such for more ways. Good luck.

Steven asks…

Help!!! How to make runescape money?

I want to get a lot of money and my lv up fast. How can I get all my lvs up really fast? Last can only members play mini games if not how can I?

Nagesh answers:

The THREE MOST easiest and fastest ways to make money in the Massive online Role-playing Game called Runescape is:

1.Mining For Money
One way to make a lot really fast is to to get high enough and mine a lot of coal. This works really fast if you sell each for 250-400gp at max. This is how I got rich in the game pluss i normally save a few for myself. (instead of mining in the dwarven mines, I mined in Al Karid because there are less people there plus there isn’t a stupid scorpion king that messes around with your mining)

2.Big Bones Big Cash
A second way to make cash fast (even if you are not a member) is to get high enough so you can kill hill giants in varock because they sometimes give you about 50gp but they always give you a big bone witch sell for a lot to people that want to get up their prayer. You should sell them for about 200-300gp max.

3.Fishing for treasure:
Last that takes a high skill is fishing for lobsters and when high enough you can harpoon for spear. You should fish on that one island where there are bananas(Karmaja). My sugestion is actually selling the fish there on the island so you are not wasting 30gp each time that you transport between the port and the island.(sell them at the general store there.
This one requires fufilling a quest:
Magic stone selling

You have to finish the Rune Mysteries quest which alows you to mine for rune essance. In varock there is a magic shop south of the east bank. There you talk to the person and he will teleport you to the rune essance. (rune ess takes almost no time at all to collect, so this is a good way to make money) After collecting a lot of rune ess(as people like to call it for short) you can sell it to mages in the bank for 100-250gp max.
Other:

There are many other ways for making money. Like comparing prices in stores like for a sword that is in a general store that costs lets say 50 to buy. Well if you went and checked the price to sell to the sword store nearby is 100 because there are none in stock. So make sure that you check your prices wisely.

I hope this works.
Have FUN playing Runescape!!!!!

Sandra asks…

how do i make money super fast on conquer and runescape and wow?

Nagesh answers:

To make super fast money on Conquer and Wow, you start playing RuneScape! To make super fast money on RuneScape, follow the directions below!

Hi There,

My RuneScape username is K E R T Z, and I am pleased to announce the best money making ways in RuneScape without hacking or cheating. You may contact me at kertzthersking@yahoo.com or add K E R T Z to your friends list on http://www.runescape.com!

Members – Kill Green Dragons (level-79) in level 19 through 24 Wilderness. Go to Varrock Wild and head north until you reach level 19 Wilderness. Collect dragon bones, green dragonhides, and other items. Go to the Grand Exchange sell the dragon bones for 2.5k each, the green dragonhides for 1.5k each, and the other items, which can vary anywhere from 400gp to 9k each.

Nonmembers – Kill Hill Giants (level-28) in the Edgeville Dungeon. It is west of Varrock, and you need a brass key to enter it. Collect the big bones, limpwurt roots, and other items. Go to the Grand Exchange and sell the big bones for 400gp each, limpwurt roots for 600gp each, and the other items, which can be anywhere from 20gp to 2k each.

Notes – Potions would be a great help, as would food, and if you are going to kill Green Dragons (level-79), bring an anti-dragon shield.

Cash Values
– Green Dragons (full inventory) – From 40 to 130k each trip.
– Hill Giants (full inventory) – From 7 to 15k each trip.

Both of these work very well, as they only take about 10 minutes or less to get a full inventory. Which can rack up anywhere from 240 to 780k in an hour (for members), and anywhere from 42 to 90k in an hour (for nonmembers).

Another way to make money in members is to pick Mor’tar Fungus in Canafis. A full inventory only takes a few minutes, and the bank is close by! Easy money making, but high level prayer is helpful. You have to have to do the quests, Nature Spirit and Priest In Peril, before doing this.

Kind Regards,
K E R T Z

General Strategies on Saving Money and Earning More Money

Save as much money as you can! You’ll be surprised as to how quickly you can save a lot of money!

Here are a few suggestions:

Ways To Save Money & Ways To Earn More Money (Updated on 08/13/2010)

Don’t go out to eat. Example: don’t eat out at fancy, high-class restaurants. Instead, eat at a fast food restaurant or cook a healthy meal at home. It is much cheaper than the alternative.

If you are a teen or a young adult, you might want to hold a bake sale. You can have your other friends help you out, so that you can help attain your goal of saving and/or making more money.

If you have a habit of buying new clothes very often, then resist the urge to buy new clothes for a little while. You could potentially save a good amount of money.

Take personal finance courses online or at a high school or college/university.

If you are a teen or a young adult, you may want to have a dog-walking service.

To help you manage your money, try http://www.mint.com/

Talk to a customer service representative at a bank or other financial institution and learn more about financial instruments.

Don’t go out to watch new movies in theaters. Watch movies on your TV at home. Rent movies using Netflix.

If you are a teen, you may want to think about babysitting. You can babysit your neighbor’s children.

Don’t spend too much money when going out with friends. Have a budget in mind before you actually meet up with your friends.

If you are a teen, you could try to mow the lawn. Many of your neighbors probably want their lawns to be mowed at a fraction of the price that they pay others to do the same work.

Invest your money in a CD (certificate of deposit). You can hold your money in a CD for 6 months or even a year. It generally pays more interest than the interest you get from a traditional savings account from a bank.

If you are a teen, do chores around the house. Your parents will appreciate it and you might get some money for it.

If you like to invest your money in the stock market, then you may want to invest your money in a commodity, such as gold. The value/price of gold is expected to increase in the future.

If you are a teen, then make sure to save the money that you get from your allowance (if you get an allowance).

If you like to invest your money in the stock market, then you may want to invest your money in specific large-cap and medium-cap companies that you trust. Apple (Stock Symbol: AAPL) and Google (Stock Symbol: GOOG) are two such stocks where you can choose to invest your money.

Try to sell something of value that you are willing to part with. Sell your old stuff on websites where many people make purchases, such as ebay or craigslist. You could also sell your stuff through a garage sale or a yard sale.

Try to hold a donation drive where your family, close friends, neighbors, and other acquaintances will be able to help you out and donate a little bit of money. These people will include your parents, brothers, sisters, close friends, relatives, grandparents, neighbors, and other acquaintances.

If all else fails, borrow money from other people (parents, brothers, sisters, close friends, relatives, grandparents, neighbors, acquaintances, etc.) in order to get a short-term loan.

Lizzie asks…

How to make money quickly?

So I’m headed off to college pretty soon – within 2 months – and I need to make some money so that I can afford to live on campus. I refuse to live at home even though it is an option. What are some legal ways I could make some money fairly quickly in today’s economy?
Please do not suggest becoming a call girl. That is not going to happen.
I have held temporary jobs before. They were just seasonal so after the season was done the store shut down.
I do have a job currently but it is changing ownership and I am unsure of how much longer it will be available.

Nagesh answers:

There is no quick way. Your first year in college and maybe even your second should be spent living at home if you have the option. Why? Free food and bored unless they start charging you for rent. Relieable place to come back to. Living away from home can cost anywhere from 400 to 800 a month. Finding work now and saving up the majority of the money to when use next year when you move out would be the wisest option.
But like I said two years would be even better, because of all the money you can save.
By that time as well college will start getting a lot more difficult. Once your Gen Ed is done your classes will most likely become much more time consuming and a job will be much harder to hold with the amount of schoolwork you have.

Michael asks…

How can I make legit money at home?

Nagesh answers:

I think the best way to make money at home is by having your own home based business.
There’s not much difference in the time it takes to build a business vs. The time you spend working either a part time or full time job. If you calculate the hours you put into working for someone else, the pay you receive compared to working the same amount of time in your own business and how much more you would be making, it makes more since to have your own businesses. Rather it’s a home based business, or a traditional store front business.
To me, having a home based business is economically better. It costs less to start up, and you don’t have all the over head expenses as traditional businesses do. Just about everything in your own home is a tax write off. Most home based business cost under $500. Plus you have the same opportunity to make the same amount of money, higher profit then you would in a traditional business.
If you put in the same amount of time you would at your normal job, it won’t take you that long to build a business up and make a sufficient amount of income. About the same amount of time for your first check from your ordinary job, which is about two to four weeks, depending on if the company you work for has this waiting period that a lot of them do, where you actually work 3 to 4 weeks before getting paid. It usually takes about two to four weeks to start bringing in an average income. Four to six weeks to increase that. (I don’t know any “job” that gives you pay raises this quickly), and about three to six months to be self sufficient. Again, this is based on the effort and time you put into it.
Most people start their business on the side if they don’t have a cushion to live on while they build their business because they have full time jobs and run their business on the side. When their business reaches the income level they desire, they put their normal jobs down and continue with just their business’s income.

I don’t have much to go on with what your interests are. So I can only try and help you out by refering you over to a few different businesses to take a look at. I’ll tell you what my husband and I have had and enjoy doing for over six years now. I can also refer you over to my blog on my 360 yahoo page on “home based businesses” There are over half a dozen different ones to take a look at for more ideas.

We got involved in the Telecommunications industry. We picked this one because the income opportunity is just incredible, and to me it’s more practical. We partnered up with a 15 year old world wide company that offers services that people use every day and pay for anyway. They are registered with the BBB. They’ve also been featured in several magazines like USA Today, Success, Fortune etc. Inc 500 also rated us the 22nd fastest growing company in our first five years. We are world wide with headquarters in in Farmington Hills Michigan, Carolina, Canada, Europe, Australia. So it’s a pretty good sized organization to be involved in. We offer services like Local and Long distance telephone services, Internet, digital, video, VOIP, Satallite TV, and all the major cellular phone providers like Sprint, T-Mobile,Verizon, AT&T, Nextell, Alltel etc. As well.

How many people do you know, or know of around the world that uses one or more of these services? Service that people are not going to give up on because money is tight they’re going to pay their utility bills then purchasing the top brand of soap when they can easily run to the dollar store and buy a package of 4 for a dollar instead of a bar for $2 sort of thing. You know what I mean? We save people money on services that they are already using and paying for, and offer them services that they don’t have, but would like to. As an example, say they have a local and long distance telephone service and Internet, I offer them a lower plan, they accept and Every single month these people pay these bills that they are going to anyway every month, we make a percentage every month. Same thing with cell phones. You can provide a phone cheaper (say an LG, or Blackberry, Wing etc) and they extend their contract through you, every month they pay their bill you get a percentage. You get paid every single month for these services over and over again. Once their on a service, everytime they pay their bills each month, you get a percentage off it. This is a very profitable business to get involved in. A lot of money involved in this industry, This is all done in your home by telephone or Internet., or both.

Your Questions About Quick Ways To Make Money For Kids

Chris asks…

What is the quickest way to commit a painless suicide?

I am a 23 year old female with three children ages 3,1,& 6 months. Fleeing a domestic violence situation we lost everything. My job, house, furniture, clothes, money, precious photos…EVERYTHING. I called every homeless shelter in my area: all full. We are living in abandoned houses and under overpasses. I love my kids more than life but they deserve better. I just want to end it all. I’ve endured physical, mental, and verbal abuse all my life. I’m just so tired. So so damn tired. I don’t even have energy to give up…i just want it over.

Nagesh answers:

Please don’t don’t it, your children need you more than ever. You doing this will only show them it’s alright to give up, but it’s not. Giving up only shows you are weak and selfish. Think of your kids and how it will effect them forever. I’m only 16, i’ve thought of suicide so many times. The world is full of challenges, that’s what my mother has taught me and you can teach your children the rights and wrongs of life and how to survive through the aching pains, heartbreaks, and meanness from hateful people. This is how you want to be remembered, being a good mother, not the mother who let her kids down. You’re not alone, there are lots of people going through hard times right now. If you ever need someone to talk there are hotlines 301-864-7161 to call and if not that here’s my email address i know where to get help, miraclelyfe@yahoo.com.

Jenny asks…

How do i make money as a kid in the hood?

I am a kid and my town is way to dangerous to do others peoples work. And every time i try o make something my brother collects the change! And i need a full proof one that i can make money quick under my roof without getting a fine or going to jail or needing a permit!

Nagesh answers:

Do some small work

What are good and easy ways for teens to make money?

I want to make some money in the summer, but I don’t want to work all day.I am 14 so I think that’s how old you have to be to start working.Any suggestions? And I don’t want to walk a dog or babysit. Thanks!

Nagesh answers:

Mowing lawns would be good. It’s really easy if you get your ipod and listen to it the whole time it goes by quick. Wash people’s cars. You could clean people’s houses but that’s too much work probably. If you are smart you can tutor younger kids. Ask parents if you can do some work around the house like cleaning or doing dishes. You can also like someone said sell some stuff. You can sell old clothes and toys. A garage sale or ebay would be good because that’s where you’ll get most money. I wouldn’t recommend selling them to a used clothes store like plato’s closet they only give you like $2 for a couple of shirts. And I wouldn’t do any of these with friends because you’ll only get half of the money. Good luck!

quick way of making money when am unable to work due to being a full time mum?

i have a 8month old baby but need to stat making money at the same time as being a mum>>any ideas?

Nagesh answers:

Set up a home daycare and take in another child or 2.

There are no quick and easy ways to earn money. That stuff is a scam.

But since you are a stay at home mom, there are lots of working moms who need day care. A good home daycare provider is a valuable thing.

Check with your local government, see how many kids you would be allowed to take in. In my area, child care is $125 per week per kid. So you take in 2 more kids, that’s an additional $250 per week x 4 weeks = $1000. I have a friend, in her area, daycare costs $250-$300 per week per kid.

Check with friends that have kids in daycare. Find out what the going rate is in your area. Then check with the local government and see what the laws are regarding this. Lastly, check with a CPA and see what you would need to do to be prepared for tax time.

But the best way I know for a stay at home mom to make money is to bring in another kid or 2.

Your Questions About Fast Money Online Surveys

Mary asks…

how to make money online?

Nagesh answers:

it’s a VERY VERY helpful forum where people discuss EVERY which way to make money online…legally anyway. There’s a lot about mystery shopping, paid to read email, surveys, test products, etc…There’s a thread where everyone leaves feedback and discusses the different paying sites they’re members of. It helps when you see hundreds of people saying positive things about a site, especially when you’re questioning it’s…legit…ness(?)lol. I’ve found a couple of extra survey/trial sites that i’ve joined on there, and have gotten paid from them. If i were to recommend the best ones though, it’d DEFINITELY be
1.) Pinecone Research-after you look into making money online more, you’ll see this one is one of the most sought after sites to join. It’s the best, IMO. The ONLY catch it, you can’t just sign up from their site…you have to find the elusive banner to join. (i googled it and found it pretty easily) but if you’re accepted (and it’s 100%free) you’ll get your first survey soon and they pay $5.00 //survey you do…they pay after each one (they send them to you, you can’t just do as many as you want 🙁 but you WILL get either a check or they pay via paypal as well (what i do) in less than 3 days after completely the survey. I dont think you’ll ever hear anything bad or negative about this site (except that some people don’t get accepted, sometimes they’re looking for certain people)..but def.search for that one. You’ll def. Want to join a few other sites along with this one, since they decide how many surveys you get each month (it’s just the easiest and fastest, so why not do it)
the next site i’d recommend it the first paying survey/trial site i joined (and worked)…i earn the most money on this one (probably because i’m a bit biased since it was my first one that i joined and got paid from)
http://www.treasuretrooper.com/228500
first off, make up a couple extra emails to use strictly for junkmail (i’ve never even checked the ones i made and use on there) i say a couple, because several of the surveys you take are from the same company so if you use different emails it’ll approve faster (and i clear my cookies after each survey, and it helps more approve)
then all you do if enter your info and answer a bunch of those yes/no to free offers (usually youdont even have to go that far with it, just enter your info…or click NO or pass to everything)
I’ve been a member since February 14th this year, and i’ve made 168.00 so far (i’ve already gotten my first check) and that’s just from doing free offers. If you refer friends/family you get 20% of what they earn and 5% of what THEIR referrals earn. Great site, highly recommended. Oh, they also have a forum there, with a proof of payment thread.
And another site i’m a member of and have gotten paid a bit from is
http://www.cash crate.com/index.php?ref=155478 (note:dont’ put the “space” between “cash” and “crate”.i couldnt post hte link i HAVE recieved my first check from them for $60.00, i don’t get on there as much as treasure trooper (if idid i would obviously make more money)they also have a referal system %20 1st level referrals and %10 second level…after so many referrals you go up levels…%30 1st level and %20 second.
And last but not least is the site i spend the least time on (and i have gotten paid from them) but i’ve gotten paid the least (since i dont get on there much)
http://www.inboxdollars.com/?r=tiffany_a00
i’ve gotten paid $40 from them. Same deal as the others, a little different withthe referal system though, you get $1 for every referal and i think it’s $2 for every offer they complete. Not sure on that part though, i know i’ve gotten paid though, lol. Well, hope you enjoy venturing into the world of working online. It’s addicting, i’m currently working on some new sites and building up my balance and seeing if they pay.

(NOTE: I haven’t invested ONE penny in any of this)
i make almost $300 extra a month between all of those)

WHAT ARE SOME FAST WAYS TO……………?

what are some fast ways to make money? not like a job but not like lemonade stands either……any ideas? thanks 🙂

Nagesh answers:

You can sign up at some “freebie” sites to make money.
Basically, you make an account and u fill in surveys.
The surveys will then get approved by the site and u will reieve online money. The money can be used to purchase items on Ebay, Amazon, or other websites.
It can also be transferred to ur paypal account if u have one. Furthermore, the money can be used to exchange prizes the the site offers.
One good site is gaming lagoon. It has been proven to be real, and there are many offers that u can do.

Steven asks…

Whats the deal with making money at home doing online stuff for google etc?

Im desperate to be ablr to make money working online

thanks

Nagesh answers:

There are a lot of scams using google as advertisement. Remember, if they require you to pay, they are probably scams.

You can earn money by doing surveys online. Try to join as many survey panels as possible to maximize profits. You can earn about $100 per month from doing surveys. It’s slow but is stable income.

To earn money fast involves some risks. You can trade forex(currencies) or stocks.

For beginners, most forex brokers have demo accounts for you to start trading using virtual money(all free to join).

This broker is very famous for its extraordinary trading platform, where trading forex is like playing games.

If you want to trade using real money, but are uncomfortable to invest any of your own, this broker gives you $5 free to start trading.

To learn more about forex, go to babypips.com and start from kindergarden level.

Good luck!!

Daniel asks…

How can I make money online with no money no surveys ?

Help money

Nagesh answers:

1. Buy underpriced used books. Outfit a phone or PDA (personal data assistant) with a scanner, scan the ISBN numbers of books at used bookstores and thrift shops, and compare the asking prices with what the books are selling for on a site like Amazon. Whenever you get a good hit (which won’t be often but, since the process is fast, won’t take long, either), buy the book and resell it online. Be discrete about this, as the store managers probably won’t like what you’re doing.
2. Bargain-hunt at yard and thrift sales. If you have a bit of knowledge in a particular area (ex. Taxco Mexican silver, action figures, classic National Geographics) or even just a good eye for quality, visit private sales early and often to find unexpected deals.
3. Go to police auctions. You can find incredible deals here, and though may not be able to resell a car that was involved in a serious crime, you can probably find some spectacularly cheap jewelry that someone else would be happy to buy off you.
4. Refinish ratty furniture. If you have lacquer thinner, sandpaper, stain, and some craft sense, you can buy worn-out furniture and fix it up for a great resale price.
