Your Questions About Ideas To Make Money

Mary asks…

What are some creative ideas for a teen to make and sell for money?

Im trying to make money and i need some ideas. Id like to sell something. A magazine had an idea to make these frozen float icecreams…i was thinking to sell them. Is it a good idea? Where could i sell them? More ideas, please!

I make money by selling random crap on MySpace. There’s a surprising amount of teenagers with shops there, it’s it’s own little community. You can check mine out at Myspace.com/slicemysoulletmedie [emo name, I know].

Another way i’ve made a little money is via Cashcrate. It’s one of those survey sites, but it actually pays. But it’s super boring, and only pays after you hit $20, which can take quite a while to build up. If you’re interested, though, here’s my referall link: www.cash TAKE THESE WORDS OUT crate.com/634287
[Sorry for that, but it won’t let me link you for some reason.]

Also, of course, eBay.

And if you make things that aren’t perishable, you could sell on Etsy. It’s fees are much less than eBays, and it’s got a growing fanbase. It’s for homemade items only, though.

Things you could make:
hemp jewelry
yarn falls or synthetic dreads [big money in synth dreads]
candles
deconstructed/corset teeshirts
resin jewelry
lotions, perfumes
beaded jewelry
quilts [again, if you get good…good money]
dreamcatchers
extensions [take plain blond extensions and dye designs on them. Good sellers on myspace, ebay, and etsy, if you are good at it]

Another thing…if you can draw or use photoshop/paintshop well, go to DeviantART.com and go to the requests-people will pay for you to draw them, or make logos for their small business or websites.
Another place is Gaiaonline.com, people will sometimes pay to have ‘avatar art’.

OH!
Also, on MySpace, some people make money by making accounts, adding a load of people, and selling them to others who are looking to advertise a product or themselves. On average, a 50k site can go for around $100. It gets boring just sitting around adding people, but it’s pretty good money considering.

And hey, there’s always babysitting.

Ideas for a kid to make money?

Okay, I need to save up one hundred dollars. I already have twenty. I need ideas to make money. I can not babysit (state law says you have to be two years older), and I live in a bad part of town, so I can’t go door to door or run a stand for something. Thanks!

Nagesh answers:

Sounds tough if you cant get a job or run stands, however i think you should try asking family members if you can do chores for money around the house. Also if you have old clothes and things you don’t use or want anymore you can try selling them on eBay or if you have a Plato’s closet. If nothing works out just don’t spend any money on candy or whatever until you have 100.00. Hope things work out.

Susan asks…

Any ideas to make a bit of money before christmas?

I’m 16.

I don’t really fancy getting a part time job with school being so busy, but I was wondering if anyone could think of some easy
ways to make money?

I have a paperround, but need to get some more money to buy all the presents I need to get!

Any ideas?

Nagesh answers:

Well you should think think what your good at, art or cooking maybe?
If you know how to bake a cake then you make some and make a small stall, cookies is awesome. If youre good at art then you should try making small christmas trees cutting a branch from bigger and try decorating it with buttons and straws and sell them off in your neighbourhood. Or even thats lots of work in your busy schedule then buy Tang (powdered juice) make a stall and extinguish thirst for little money. Its helpful and profitable.
I used to buy beads of different colors and sizes and make friendship bands of different color combinations, girls love’em and you can profit a lot on that. I used to make bands and bracelets and give it to my little cousins and they feel happy wearing it.

Ideas to make money at the festival?

The town festival is coming in May and everyone in my town will be there. I need ideas for crafts or food or something that I can sell at the festival. I have $100 for supplies and stuff.

Nagesh answers:

I always had good luck with hot dogs. In fact very good luck. To put a hot dog together it only costs a dime. I would put up large posters “hot dogs 3 for a $1.00” trust me you will be selling them as fast as you can put them out. When no power was available I had a big pot on a propane gas stove, that works very well. 3 for $1.00 will bring you .70 on every sale. But don’t advertise your soda pop prices and make them a little higher, because most folks will want a drink with 3 hot dogs.also buy mustard in the gallon and have it off to the side, so they move away from the sometimes long lines. Hope this helps, and believe me its fun.
