I want to work from home and make a good living. Any ideas?

I am looking for ideas from people who are self employed from home. I have a young son and I want to be able to stay at home and replace my current income. My income would need to be about 3000.00 per month clear. I currently work in a field that is hazardous duty. My life is in jeopardy on a daily basis. I wont go into detail but I work for the state and now that I have my son, I have more worries about being around to raise him. Does anyone know how I can achieve this? I am not looking for a get rich quick scheme, I want my own business or work for someone else and remain at the same financial state that I am in now or better long term. I am open to anything from selling items to raising animals for profit? Anything is an option. I have a little money to invest, but not alot. Probably 1000.00 to start.
Any ideas how I can achieve this? All answers will be considered no matter what they are.

mijuju71—-I hardly think its appropriate to assume I am not skilled at my job, nor do I have training to get paid for the job I do. I am actually highly skilled and trained to do my job, one that most are unable or unwilling to do. Thus, the pay is higher because I do take the risk whereas others are unwilling to. Dont be fooled by thinking I am unskilled, I am probably more skilled than you if the truth be known. But, thanks for the insult none the less.
And a daycare is not what I am interested in. My goal is to spend more time with my son, not take away from him by having my attention given to another child. Thanks anyway.

I won’t try to involve you in a pyramid or get rich quick scheme – just letting you know that I work for a medical coding company who hires “at home medical coders” who get great benefits, and make between $17.00 and $35.00 per hour depending on the type of coding that they do and their credentials. You’ll have to take a few classes (you can go to college or a trade school for these. There are also a lot of online classes available.) You would also need to become certified (start with your CPC – Certified Professional Coder), but if you go through an actual coding course, they should offer a certification program also. It’s great work; pretty interesting. I do ER coding – people go to the ER for all sorts of fun things. Every day is different, but it’s all right from the comfort of my own home. I can work in my pajamas….that’s nice 🙂

Tips for home produced headshots?

Hey so I need new headshots for some upcoming auditions I have, but I don’t have the money to get them done professionally.. so are there any suggestions on how to make good looking headshots from home? My mom is a designer so she knows some of the tricks, and we have an amazing camera.. I just need poses. places, colour schemes etc? Just any tips in general please and thank you!

I’m not sure why you’re getting headshots now, if you’ve already got the auditions – it’s usually the other way round.
But to answer your question, make sure that the final photos really do look like you in real life.
If you send in headshots and then you turn up looking different, they’ll not be happy!
The backgrounds should be fairly plain – a stone wall, a plain curtain, a painted wall, anything which doesn’t draw the eye away from you. The shot itself should be from the shoulders up, with you in the centre.
A slight smile is best – don’t try to look sexy or pout – just normal. Keep hair natural but off your face. Make-up should be minimal – they’ll be looking for a blank canvas rather than any particular look. Any visible clothing should be light coloured, but not white, plain, not patterned, and not fussy – no frills or fancy collars.

How can I make more money?

. Are there any good short term investments or “schemes” I could try?

Im thinking of buying Monster in bulk and selling them in school. I bought one 24 pack to see if theyd sell and some people payed 5 a can.

Any other suggestions? My dream would be to double what I bring home from my part time job (I make about 40 a night in tips) but even making another half of what I make would be good.

Im trying to buy a used car and Im affraid its gonna sell before I have the money to buy it.

Need real info. from Market America unfranchise owners?

My wife got into this business at home… she claims its not really a pyramid scheme business. I understand that you probably need to work and make contacts to be successful, but has anyone in the company made money? How many hours do you really need to put in? Over how long a period can you start making decent money? Any general tips to make it work?

I’m not sold on the concept, but she is and I’m supporting her. How can I help?

I have a friend Sue that was in it for two years and made nothing (at least like all the promises she had). With that being said in any home based business the amount of work you put in varies from person to person.

She has a hard time because the business plan is mocked after Amway’s business plan. The way she explained it to me was you had to open three businesses, one main and two legs off it to really start making a little bit of money. (which she did) .. She invest over $1500 to start and then couldn’t ever find anyone good to sign under her .. MLM’s are hard so many out there … Also one person Sue signed (the only one that worked) did better then her so they ended up breaking away .. Which meant she was back to square one again.

Good luck to your wife .. She may know of people that can invest that kind of money and do well with it …

Just doing some research I found them on Federal Trade Commission site .. You can read about it there yourself .. Just type in the company name at the top search.

How can anyone support the Labour party?

Labour under Tony Blair has deserted it’s core supporters.
It is responsible for a deteriorating NHS despite billions more pounds being spent on it.
It has destroyed the pensions of millions of it’s supporters and watched idly by as company pension schemes have collapsed.
Now they , a Labour government, are actually going to give bailiffs more powers to act against the ordinary citizen in order to protect the interests of grasping, irresponsible money lenders etc.
If you try to make a decent home for yourself you can expect a visit from your local council spymasters who will then tax the hell out of you.
There is hardly a day goes by that this shower aren’t planning to hit the hard working people of this country with more taxes and invasions of our privacy
Enough is a bloody ‘nough.
That’s my opinion, what’s yours?

Because I cannot find an NHS dentist in my area I have spent over £2000 on dental care in the past eighteen months.

There is none.

No other party has ever invented hundreds of new ways to go to jail;
started a war which has turned Iraq in to old style Northern Ireland;
allowed an unknown numger of illegal immigrants to take the jobs of our less able workers;
employed 45,000 Philipinonurses in hospitals so that there is a shortage in the Philipines;
sold off large parts of the NHS to White South Africans and Americans:
had positive race discrimination for civil service jobs against those born here;
allowed the police to become’institutionally racist’ and an evil rapid response, gun -wielding organisation based on something out of ‘The Clockwork Orange’.

I could go on. And on and on..

All we can do is forget party politics and VOTE tactically.

The tories have no policies because when they announce a policy, New Labour steals it.
