Your Questions About Ideas To Make Money For Teenagers

Betty asks…

how can i make money (teenager)?

I am 13 and would like to earn some extra cash. I am in no hurry, although i want to earn a good amount of money for the amount of work i do, i want some new ideas though, not things like: wash cars, mow lawns etc…
preferably not on the internet

Nagesh answers:

The trouble for you is your age. You will struggle to find a job that 1) will accept you, or be allowed to accept you and 2) If you do find a job, its not going to pay you well.

That is why doing things like washing peoples cars, mowing lawn etc is what kids your age do. It is almost like self employment.

But here are some other suggestions you could try: sell stuff at bootsale, ebay, asking your family if they have any jobs want doing, make stuff to try and sell on ebay, etc, http://www.fiverr.com, start up a free blog and keep writting stuff..

Anybody have some different ways of teen money making?

I’ve been looking through articles about teenagers and kids making money but they’re either scams you have to pay for or just the same old ‘gardening, shovelling driveways, baby-sitting’ jobs.
Does anyone have some ideas on how a 14 year old can make a bit of money?
Any ideas are appreciated as long as it doesn’t include selling lemonade, mowing lawns, shoveeling driveways, dog-walking or baby-sitting hahahaa

Nagesh answers:

When I was your age, I didn’t even have the opportunity to make money. Now with technology, things are definitely different. I would be very careful to not spend more money than you are making, have a starting budget, and try it out. You don’t need to have a lot. Look online for free blogging websites, free domain hosting, and free products to promote, like ClickBank and CJ. It’s possible, but it might not be very quickly. There are programs that help you with this, but they can cost some money. If you want, check out this website. It has lots of different programs for purchasing, focusing on different strategies. Best of luck!!!! You should be proud of yourself for wanting to make your own money!

Ideas to earn money (Teenager)?

I’m in high school, and as I’m typing this jobless; though I’m going to try and get a job at the local supermarket.
As it is, I’m a teen who likes to collect things for my nerdy desires. I currently want to buy something that is listed as just about $500. Besides the obvious get a job, which I’m going to try to do anyways, what can I do to earn some extra cash to fund what I want. I offered to mow lawns to my neighbors, but they like mowing it themselves so declined the offer.
I want to try and get $600 before summers out, so what are some ways that I can earn the cash?
I like making things, but I’m not overly creative with it. I don’t have money right now to buy supplies, but I have a lot of fabrics and am capable of sewing things.
Does anyone have any ideas for ways to earn money?
I would offer babysitting, but my neighborhood is full of teens. And most younger kids have an older sibling. Plus, I’m not that great with kids.

Nagesh answers:

Go around your neighborhood and stuff mailboxes with flyers that you make off your computer. Something like this:

Suzy’s Helping Hands

-babysitting
-pet sitting, dog walking
-house sitting
-gardening
-light housework

And anything else you can think of that you can do as a service to neighbors. Hopefully you will get some calls. This is how I found a cleaning lady, and it worked out well.

Party ideas for teenagers?

I cant’t think of any thing to do for my party. We are having a slip n slide and then I don’t know what to do after that. I don’t want the usual party games because we get bored with games easily and there’s nothing really that interesting at our age. Any ideas?

Nagesh answers:

First of all I think a party plan would be a good idea.
How much money have you got to spend?
How many are coming? Are you having it at home or at a venue.
If you are into sport how about a crazy sport day. Ask everyone to come in sports gear. Then play baseball or hockey using rolled up newspapers as a bat or sticks and use a softer ball than usual
You could play basketball using blown up balloons
If you do not want it to be ‘crazy’ just have an ordinary sports day at your local park playing your favourite sport.

If you are into movies have a Hollywood party or a Glitz and Glamour party when all guests are asked to come in really grand fancy dress evening wear and you watch a favourite video, serve popcorn etc.

Have a ‘Pop-star Party’ Everyone comes dressed as their favourite pop star and then you have a talent show or karaoke session where everyone takes it in turn to imitate their favourite star.

You could go skating, or to visit a famous sports team at the home venue.

Why not plan a mammoth scavenger hunt or treasure hunt.

Organise a water polo match at your local swimming baths if that is allowed.
