Ok, im a member but you can make money buy most skills. I would say skill that don’t make money are 1) smiting- Well if you buy the bars you lose money, the only way you make money with smithing is mining it yourself and smelting it your self. But it would be less money then selling the ore or bars. 2) summoning- Most people with 99 summoning bought everything, and spent million and millions of gp so why even try here, scrolls don’t sell and only some pouches sell. 3) construstion- i spent 500k getting my construstion and lost tons on money on it. Most of the other skills help make money or make it. Im a level 88 with 71 theving and woodcutting, and 74 fishing. I fish for swordfish, theve from paladans for choas runes and money. I cut yews, but my sister with 78 woodcutting cuts magic and makes alot of money and shes level 48! With these i’ve been at 4mill but at the moment i have 2.7mill, and she has 3mill. Getting these levels are hard, but possable. For theving, i stole from knights,guards, and master farmers, and all but the farmers give money directly, but the farmers give rare seeds, after a few hours of master farmers i had 10 rannar seeds and 2 snapdragons, and got about 400k. Woodcutting can be rose by willows, but i used maples because willows do not sell on the grand exchange.

Merchanting- I myself don’t merchant much. But i did somthing like merchanting to get 2mill. What i did is bought as many feathers as i could at lowest price, i wasent playing at the moment because i lost my membership. You would sell at max price but this would take a long time. I never use this method but im going to start. Go to the grand exchange part on the runescape main menu. Look AT prices droping or crashing(drop in price very fast) right now, the dragon long sword is starting to recover from a crash. Well buy when somthing drops and then starts to rise. After you see the price start to drop at a higher price you bought them at, sell. I hope i could help!

When it comes to combat i have never really found the most affective way to gain xp. Though i have found some O.K. Ways to make money, i have ordered them from what ones were the most affective to least affective for me.. >.>

#1Cutting magic trees/yews:
Magic trees can be found above the sorcerers tower or right under it (adding up to 7 trees with some competition) can get you around 60-400k/an hour / Yew trees can be located in allot of places A.above the varrock palace (easy bank access with tons of competition) B.below melzars maze, its close to rimmington (theres 4 yew trees there though the harder bank access, some people) C.west of lumbridge (4 trees with some competition sorta hard bank access using either lumbridge bank or draynor banks) can get around 30-100k/an hour . The only problems with woodcutting is the people to fight over trees, the competition, and your woodcutting level decides how fast you receive logs/money….

#2 The sorceress garden:
there is a quest you need to have completed the Prince Ali Rescue quest to do this, after that it can be accessed by flattering the lady sweeping the floor just southeast of the al-karid palace and having her teleport you to the garden (bring the least amount of closes you can)not to mention if you are a low thieving level than just do the winter garden, but the higher level of the seasons you can enter the more expensive herbs you can get/by the way.. You will need a pestle and mortar+some beer glass’s to make sqirk juice out of the fruits you get from the trees) the elementals are somewhat hard to get past but they get easier to trick once you get better/used to it. For each of the four ‘mazes’ there are 2 paths one will take you to the herbs and the other to the sqirk trees (once you get some full glass’s of sqirk juice take them to osman who is just above the al-karid palace for some thieving xp) the herbs can be sold at the Grand exchange for your hard earned cash. You can make around 20-400k+/an hour and doing this 😀

#3:Green dragon bones:
You must have completed the Dwarf Cannon quest to use the dwarf multi cannon(make sure you bring either and anti fire shield or the anti-dragon shield with good armor… Just really put an effort into not dieing like i did on my first try) take the cannon along with good food into the wilderness east of Clan Wars and spamm the cannon around the green dragons and pick up their bones (bring teleports just in case you meet up with a revenent ork, they are dangerous) and use the varrock bank. The only problems with this strategy is there are other people, the revenent orks, and the multi-cannon cost quit a bit along with the ammunition for it.

I made 8m in a week doing the sorceress garden with a little combination of woodcutting some magics.

Like you’ve already been doing, making steel bars is a great way to make money when you have lower stats. If you’re going to become a member soon, then I would suggest making cannonballs; more smithing XP, and more money.

Mining is an “okay” way to make money – it’s not as fast or as easy as Smithing, but it can be done. Since your Mining level is 53, iron is your best chance to make money. You’ll get it fast, and have a higher Mining level than others. Don’t get coal, since most people have 70+ when doing this, so you’ll find it harder to make money.

Since I’m not aware of your other stats, I’ll just say that cutting yews is a great way to make money for members and non-members alike. I say that 70+ is needed, since this is when they get faster. If you want to do this, then cut willows up to this point (just don’t expect to make any money from willows).

One method that’s not as great for non-members is fishing. Sure, you can fish lobsters (they get fast enough around 50) but the bank trip it long, so I don’t usually advise this. You could go for trout and salmon. They won’t sell for much, and might take a while to sell, but it’s easier than others.

Spinning flax is a rather slow way. I made money lots of ways. I fished sharks( 76 fishing required) about 350 per hour for me that is at 85 fishing at fishing guild. You could also kill green or blue dragons. Green dragons dragons drop better loot than blue dragons, but the hide is less worth than the blue dragon hide. Green dragons are in the wildy, and they’re rather easy to kill, easier than blue dragons. Be careful of revanents. Blue dragons are in taverly dungeon, could be a little crowded sometimes, but u can make 56k an invent in like 10 minutes.i also used to merchant a few times. Most profitable way if ur a master at it (i was pretty good at it myself, lol) woodcutting magics and yews is very good, yews especially if ur over 80 wc and ur close to a bank. If you have 80 range or above, kill avansies, they drop addy bars quite often i usually make around 320k an hour doing this. To make 10 mil using the ways listed above, i would say about 2 to 3 weeks if u play about 1 to 2 hours a day.
